Minnesota Vikings star wide receiver Justin Jefferson has had a tough season so far, but he was available to help the Vikings score a road win against the Seattle Seahawks.
However, Max Brosmer, who’s starting this week in place of the injured JJ McCarthy, has failed to connect with Jefferson in the first half.
Is Vikings WR Justin Jefferson Injured?
So far in the first half, Jefferson has been targeted twice by Brosmer but has yet to catch a pass to this point. The Vikings have been leaning on their defense to keep Minnesota in the game as the Seahawks held a 13-0 lead at halftime.
While Jefferson doesn’t have any catches at the moment, it does not appear that he’s injured in any way.

According to the PFSN NFL WR Impact metrics, Jefferson has an impact score of 79.2 and grades out to a C+. Entering Sunday’s game, Jefferson had 60 catches for 795 yards and two touchdowns. The Vikings will need Jefferson to really come through in the second half. However, it’s been a rough start for Brosmer as well.
At halftime, Brosmer is 9-of-15 passing for 53 yards and one interception. To say that the team needs McCarthy back out there as the starting quarterback is an understatement.

According to the PFSN NFL Offense Impact metrics, the Vikings have an impact score of 64.5 and grade out to a D. Those aren’t impressive numbers at all for a team that hoped to be among the NFC playoff teams this season. That, though, doesn’t appear to be happening at this time.
The Vikings entered Sunday’s game with a 4-7 overall record and a 3-3 away-from-home record. As for Seattle, which is currently in the running for an NFC playoff spot, it is 8-3 overall and 3-2 at home.
Jefferson was a first-round draft pick (No. 22 overall) by Minnesota in the 2020 NFL Draft. He’s played his entire six-season NFL career with the Vikings. Entering Sunday, Jefferson had 555 career receptions for 8,227 career receiving yards and 42 touchdown receptions. The longest TD catch in his career is a 97-yarder.
On Sunday, Aaron Jones Sr. and Jordan Addison led Minnesota in receptions with three apiece. T.J. Hockenson had two, and Jordan Mason had one through the first half against Seattle. Let’s see if Jefferson can add a catch or two in the second half.
