Is Jaylen Warren Injured? Breaking Down if the Steelers RB Is Hurt After Slow Start on SNF vs. Packers

Trying to rebound from an embarassing loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, the Pittsburgh Steelers did not get a great performance out of Jaylen Warren.

While the emotions were going to be at a peak when the Green Bay Packers took on the Pittsburgh Steelers, it was ultimately going to be an important game for both teams from a standing perspective. The latter, in particular, had to find its footing once again after losing a brutal game to the Cincinnati Bengals with Joe Flacco as their quarterback.

As a result, in the first game, Aaron Rodgers was playing against the franchise with which he won four MVPs, and the focus was going to be on the results. Thankfully, the first half went firmly in the Steelers’ favor, as they opened a 16-7 lead going into the break. But what made it more impressive was that their success came despite an underwhelming night from running back Jaylen Warren.

What Happened to Jaylen Warren?

Steadily building a diet of passing and rushing plays, a Packers defense that ranks ninth on PFSN’s Defense Impact did not offer much resistance to the Pittsburgh offense, as they continued to move the ball with relative ease.

They scored 16 points in the period and gained close to 200 yards on offense to ensure three field goal conversions from Chris Boswell, along with a touchdown from DK Metcalf. But on the ground, they didn’t get any scores from Warren.

A standout for the team through the first half of the season, Warren was already up to 311 yards on the ground, alongside 184 yards and a touchdown through the air, ranking sixth on PFSN’s RB Impact.

But against the Packers, his impact was felt more in moving the sticks than on the scoreboard. Once again failing to record his first rushing touchdown of the season, he had 10 carries in the half, adding 50 rushing yards.

He also got involved in the passing game once, where he caught his lone target. Unfortunately, it did not amount to gain or loss as he was stopped at the line of scrimmage.
