What’s Happened To Ravens RB Derrick Henry?

So far, the Ravens have a 14-0 lead over the Bengals in the third quarter. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson connected with wide receiver Zay Flowers for a touchdown.

Henry leads the Ravens in carries with eight and has 70 yards rushing.

Henry is fully healthy, but so far, has not been able to play like his usual self.

Already before playing the Browns, Henry has another 1,000-yard rushing season to his credit. Entering Sunday’s game, Henry has 222 carries for 1,025 yards and 10 touchdown runs. Once again, Henry keeps showing just how much he means to all of Baltimore’s offensive plans under head coach John Harbaugh.

According to the PFSN NFL RB Impact metrics, Henry has an impact score of 81.1 and grades out to a B-. Henry is averaging 4.6 yards per carry, which puts Baltimore in a prime position for moving the ball downfield. Without Henry being as effective, the Ravens have to look to Jackson as their main rusher.

Henry was a second-round draft choice by the Tennessee Titans in the 2016 NFL Draft out of Alabama. Henry played his first eight seasons in the NFL for the Titans before coming over to Baltimore last season.

As for his career numbers, they are outstanding. Henry has 12,448 career yards and 116 rushing touchdowns. But Henry can also be an option as a receiver out of the backfield, too. Henry has a career 1,801 receiving yards and five touchdown catches.

The Ravens entered Sunday’s game in Cincinnati with a 6-7 record, so Baltimore is looking to get back to the .500 mark. Henry’s contributions can go a long way toward making that a reality.
