Is Dalton Kincaid Injured? A Look at the Bills TE’s Status After Slow Start in Week 16 vs. Browns

Despite being an integral part of the Buffalo Bills offense in 2025, tight end Dalton Kincaid has gotten off to a slow start in Week 16.

Despite a successful season overall, Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid has had an up-and-down season in 2025. Despite some big games for the Bills this season, he’s also had some duds.

After a low-output game against the New England Patriots in Week 15, Kincaid has gotten off to another slow start against the Cleveland Browns in Week 16.

What Happened to Buffalo Bills TE Dalton Kincaid?

Despite being banged up this week with a knee injury and missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday, Kincaid returned for a full practice session on Friday, much to the relief of head coach Sean McDermott and the Bills coaching staff. While they didn’t think the injury would keep him out against the Browns, they were trying to manage the knee injury with reps.

Well, while he may have been good to go and seen warming up pregame, the tight end has been held without a target in the first half of Buffalo’s matchup against Cleveland in Week 16. Despite being silenced in the first half, quarterback Josh Allen and the Bills’ offense still hold a 20-10 lead heading into the locker room.

While he hasn’t been able to play in all 14 games for the Bills this season, Kincaid has become an essential part of Buffalo’s offense. He’s the second leading receiver in terms of yards with 523 on 36 catches, trailing only Khalil Shakir. He does lead the team in receiving touchdowns, though, with six.

The Bills’ offense has been one of the best in the league this season. According to PFSN’s Offense Impact metric, Buffalo ranks as the third-best unit in the NFL with an impact score of 86.7. Much of that is driven by Allen’s superhuman efforts under center as both a passer and rusher; however, numerous Buffalo’s playmakers also contribute to that success.

Kincaid is one of those players, as he’s excelled in PFSN’s TE Impact metric this season. After ranking 18th overall in 2024, his score skyrocketed in 2025, where he ranked third overall in the NFL with an impact score of 88.3.

While he was kept out of the end zone against the Patriots a week ago, he was able to make a trip to the end zone in Week 14 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Before that, he had a massive game against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9, catching all six of his targets for 101 yards and another touchdown.
