Injuries continue to rock fantasy football managers this season. Week 10’s injury report will feature some new names, some familiar names, and hopefully signal the return of significant fantasy contributors for a playoff push.
Make sure to check this article throughout the week for the most up-to-date injury information heading into Week 10 of the fantasy season.

Jayden Daniels, QB, Washington Commanders | Out
Jayden Daniels suffered a gruesome dislocated elbow in the Washington Commanders’ Week 9 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Initial X-rays have come back negative for a fracture, but additional imaging will be needed to determine the severity of ligament damage.
The injury was to Daniels’ non-throwing elbow, and there is a hope that he can return to play this season. The second-year quarterback has avoided any major ligament damage and has a chance to return this season. Marcus Mariota will be the team’s starter until Daniels’ return.
C.J. Stroud, QB, Houston Texans | Out
C.J. Stroud suffered a concussion in the Houston Texans’ Week 9 loss to the Denver Broncos. He will need to progress through the NFL’s concussion protocol to return to the field for Week 10.
Head coach DeMeco Ryans wasted no time ruling Stroud out for Week 10’s matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars due to his concussion on Wednesday.
Davis Mills will start for the Texans in Stroud’s absence.
Kyler Murray, QB, Arizona Cardinals | Out
On Monday, we learned that numerous specialists have stated that Kyler Murray’s foot injury has a recovery timeline of 4 to 8 weeks and that Murray is still not moving as well as before the injury.
We also learned that head coach Johnathan Gannon would be starting veteran Jacoby Brissett for the Arizona Cardinals in Week 10 even if Murray were healthy.
Murray was placed on the injured reserve on Wednesday, a move that will rule him out for the next four weeks.
Brock Purdy, QB, San Francisco 49ers | Questionable
Brock Purdy has not been back on the field since re-injuring his turf toe injury in Week 4 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. San Francisco 49ers’ head coach Kyle Shanahan admitted after Week 9 that the injury will be one that Purdy and the team will be forced to manage throughout the season.
Purdy has been gradually ramping up and logging limited practices, but has not healed enough to return to the field. Week 10 will provide him with another opportunity to demonstrate that he has sufficiently healed to return. Mac Jones will continue to start until Purdy is cleared to play.
Saquon Barkley, RB, Philadelphia Eagles
Saquon Barkley was limited in the Philadelphia Eagles’ Week 8 game against the New York Giants in Week 8 due to a groin injury. Thankfully, Barkley, the Eagles, and fantasy managers had a bye week in Week 9 to rest and heal.
There have been no indications that Barkley will miss time due to this injury, but fantasy managers should monitor his practice participation throughout the week to be safe. Tank Bigsby handled most of the backfield work when Barkley was injured and could be a smart stash if he’s on the waiver wire.
Barkley participated in Thursday’s practice, a strong first step toward his availability for Monday’s game against the Green Bay Packers. He does not appear on the team’s injury report.
Bucky Irving, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Out
Bucky Irving has not played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers since Week 4 due to a shoulder injury. There was hope that Irving would finally be able to return to the field after the team’s Week 9 bye.

Unfortunately, his return remains uncertain. Irving did not practice ahead of Week 10’s matchup against the New England Patriots and was officially ruled out on Friday. There is no clarity on when he will return at this time.
Rachaad White and Sean Tucker are once again trending toward leading the Buccaneers’ backfield in Week 10.
James Cook, RB, Buffalo Bills
James Cook did not participate in the Buffalo Bills’ practice on Wednesday due to an ankle/foot injury. Head coach Sean McDermott stated that Cook has been sore since the game, leading to the “DNP”
Bills HC Sean McDermott said RB James Cook’s injury happened during Sunday’s win over the Chiefs, and that Cook has been sore the last couple of days.

Cook still logged 27 carries and a reception against the Chiefs in Week 9, suggesting that the injury is not significant. Cook did return to practice on Thursday, suggesting that he will be good to go for Week 10. He was confirmed as “good to go” on Friday.
Ray Davis and Ty Johnson would each see larger roles in the Bills’ backfield if Cook is unable to play Week 10.
Quinshon Judkins, RB, Cleveland Browns
Quinshon Judkins suffered a shoulder injury in the Cleveland Browns’ Week 8 loss to the New England Patriots. The injury was not considered significant at the time, especially with the Browns having their bye week in Week 9.
Judkins participated in Wednesday’s practice and is trending towards playing against the New York Jets in Week 10. He does not appear on the Cleveland Browns’ injury report coming out of the team’s Week 9 bye.
Aaron Jones Sr., RB, Minnesota Vikings | Questionable
Aaron Jones Sr. injured his shoulder in Week 9’s matchup against the Detroit Lions. Initial testing has shown that the injury is not significant, and he will have an opportunity to play in the Minnesota Vikings’ Week 10 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
Jones did not participate in practice for the Vikings on Nov. 5, but was a limited participant on Nov. 6 and Nov. 7.
If Jones is unable to play through the injury, then veteran Jordan Mason will once again take over the backfield. Zavier Scott also regains fantasy appeal in PPR scoring settings as the Vikings’ pass-catching back.
Rico Dowdle, RB, Carolina Panthers
Rico Dowdle missed the Carolina Panthers’ practice on Wednesday due to a quad injury. During his press conference, head coach Dave Canales stated that the team was trying to “be smart” with Dowdle to ensure he was in good shape heading into Week 10’s matchup against the Saints. He did return to practice in a limited capacity on Nov. 6.
Dowdle was officially removed from the injury report on Nov. 7 and does not carry an injury designation into Week 10.
D’Andre Swift, RB, Chicago Bears | Questionable
Chicago Bears running back D’Andre Swift missed Week 9’s matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals due to a lingering groin injury. The injury is not expected to be a long-term issue, but it has also lingered throughout the season for the veteran running back.
Swift logged a limited practice on Wednesday, a positive step toward his returning to the lineup in Week 10. He was a full participant on Thursday and was subsequently removed from the team’s injury report.
Unfortunately, Swift was added back to the injury report with a questionable designation on Friday after logging a DNP for personal reasons. No additional details have been given at this time.
Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, New England Patriots | Out
Rhamondre Stevenson was a surprising addition to the New England Patriots’ Wednesday practice reports due to a toe injury. That ultimately kept him out of Week 9’s matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. There hasn’t been much information regarding the injury, but it is not expected to be long-term.

The Patriots leaned on rookie TreVeyon Henderson (14 carries for 55 yards and four receptions for 32 yards) and Terrell Jennings (11 carries for 35 yards and a touchdown with one reception for nine yards) against the Falcons. That duo would once again split the backfield in Week 10 if Stevenson’s injury costs him another week.
Stevenson was listed as a “DNP” for Wednesday and Thursday before getting ruled out on Friday. Week 10 will be another week of Henderson and Jennings splitting the backfield.
Trey Benson, RB, Arizona Cardinals | Out
Trey Benson is eligible to return from the injured reserve in Week 10, but has not yet had his 21-day return window opened back up. When asked about his status last week, head coach Jonathan Gannon stated that Benson was “getting better” but did not state anything about his imminent return.
Benson’s chances of returning in Week 10 took a hit on Wednesday when Gannon stated that the second-year running back was doing well but not ready to practice. Arizona’s backfield looks like it will once again be split between Emari Demercado and Bam Knight in Week 10.
Puka Nacua, WR, Los Angeles Rams
Puka Nacua left the Los Angeles Rams’ matchup against the New Orleans Saints in Week 9 early due to a rib injury. Head coach Sean McVay stated that Nacua could have returned to the field, but didn’t since the game was out of reach for the Saints. Still, Nacua underwent additional imaging on Monday.
There has been no indication that Nacua’s injury was worse than expected based on those scans, so he seems to be trending positively heading into Week 10. He logged a limited practice on Wednesday and was removed from the team’s injury report on Thursday.
He will enter Week 10 with no injury designation.
A.J. Brown, WR, Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles did not play A.J. Brown in Week 8’s victory over the New York Giants in hopes that two weeks off (including the team’s Week 9 bye) would be enough to get Brown’s hamstring healthy.
His practice participation needs to be monitored throughout the week to determine whether the team’s plan is effective. He did not participate in any practices leading to Week 8’s game, so even a limited session will be a step in the right direction.
Brown was a limited participant in Thursday’s practice, setting the stage for his Week 10 return. He was removed from the Eagles’ injury report on Thursday.
Garrett Wilson, WR, New York Jets | Questionable
Garrett Wilson has not played since Week 6 due to a knee injury suffered in the closing moments of the New York Jets’ loss to the Denver Broncos. The injury was not considered serious and did not require a trip to the injured reserve, but it did cost Wilson two games.
Head coach Aaron Glenn stated that Wilson was expected to return to practice ahead of the Jets’ Week 10 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. That is a positive first step towards the veteran receiver returning to the field.
Wilson logged limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday. Reports indicate that he will return against the Cleveland Browns in Week 10.
Brian Thomas Jr., WR, Jacksonville Jaguars | Out
Brian Thoams Jr. suffered an ankle injury in the fourth quarter of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Week 9 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Thomas was able to return to the field briefly but ultimately did not return for overtime.
After the game, Thomas was diagnosed with a “low-grade high ankle sprain” and reportedly has a chance to play on Sunday. That would suggest the injury was extremely minor, considering the history of games missed by players with high ankle sprains.
Fantasy managers will need to monitor Thomas’s practice participation throughout the week closely. Trade acquisition Jakobi Meyers and veteran receiver Parker Washington would be the biggest beneficiaries in the passing attack if Thomas is forced to miss Week 10.
Thomas did not practice this week and was officially ruled out on Friday due to a high-ankle sprain.
Rome Odunze, WR, Chicago Bears
Rome Odunze did not practice on Wednesday due to an ankle/heel injury. This is a similar pattern to last week when Odunze did not participate on Wednesday but worked his way to full participation by Friday.
Oduze returned to practice on Thursday and is trending toward playing in Week 10. He was officially removed from the injury report on Friday and will enter Week 10 with no injury designation.
Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Carolina Panthers| Questionable
Tetairoa McMillan was a dreaded “mid-week addition” to the injury report, popping up for the first time on Nov. 7 due to a hamstring injury.
Players who appear on an injury report this late into the week are always risky. Fantasy managers will need to closely watch for reports this weekend and have backup options on deck.
Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker would see increased roles in the Panthers’ passing attack if McMillan is forced to miss the game.
Terry McLaurin, WR, Washington Commanders | Questionable
Terry McLaurin missed the Washington Commanders’ Week 9 loss to the Seattle Seahawks after reaggravating his quad injury in his Week 8 return to play. The belief is that McLaurin will not miss an extended period of time, but that didn’t stop head coach Dan Quinn from stating that McLaurin is unlikely to play Week 10 on Monday.
The Commanders have their bye week in Week 12, making it unlikely we see McLaurin back on the field before Week 13. There is no great replacement for McLaurin, but Chris Moore, Jaylin Lane, and Treylon Burks will have expanded roles in the offense in his absence.
Matthew Golden, WR, Green Bay Packers | Questionable
Matthew Golden was knocked out of the Green Bay Packers’ Week 9 loss to the Carolina Panthers in the third quarter with a shoulder injury. On Monday, head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters he believed that Golden’s injury was more of the “day to day” variety than “week to week”.
That belief is great for Golden’s long-term outlook, but it does not guarantee he will be available for the Packers’ matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10. He was a limited participant in practice on Thursday.
Christian Watson would see an expanded role in his absence.
DJ Moore, WR, Chicago Bears
DJ Moore did not participate in Wednesday’s practice due to a hip/groin injury designation. This has been a pattern for Moore in recent weeks, and at this point, it is not a reason for alarm.
Moore participated in practice on Thursday, which suggests that he is trending towards playing Week 10. That was confirmed on Friday when Moore was officially removed from the injury report.
Michael Pittman Jr., WR, Indianapolis Colts
Michael Pittman Jr. was listed as a non-participant in the Indianapolis Colts’ practice on Wednesday due to a glute injury. There is no reason to believe he will miss Week 10’s game at this time.
Pittman returned to practice on Thursday and is trending towards playing Week 10. He does not appear on the team’s injury report heading into the week.
Travis Hunter, WR/DB, Jacksonville Jaguars | Out
Travis Hunter is at least three weeks away from returning to the field after being placed on the injured reserve before Week 9. However, head coach Liam Coen did say that Hunter avoided significant injury and is expected to return to the field this season.
Hunter may have ended up on the waiver wire after his initial injury and would be a worthwhile injured reserve stash in fantasy.
Kayshon Boutte, WR, New England Patriots | Out
Kayshon Boutte flashed big-play ability with Drake Maye this season, but unfortunately suffered a hamstring injury early in the New England Patriots’ Week 9 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

Boutte is not expected to be sidelined long with the injury, but could miss Week 10’s game. The Patriots will have a short week in Week 11’s Thursday matchup against the Jets, so the team could opt to shut him down to get him back healthy for that game. He did not participate in practice ahead of Week 10 and was officially ruled out on Friday.
Rookie second-round pick Kyle Williams could see a larger role in the offense as the team’s deep threat in Boutte’s absence.
Ricky Pearsall, WR, San Francisco 49ers |Questionable
Ricky Pearsall has not played since Week 4 due to a knee injury that was initially categorized as “minor”. Pearsall has been slowly working towards a return and ramping up his practice participation, and has a chance to come back in Week 10.
He did not practice on Wednesday (11/5) or Thursday (11/6), once again casting doubt on his availability.
Cedric Tillman, WR, Cleveland Browns | Questionable
Cedric Tillman has missed the last four games on the injured reserve due to a hamstring strain. The Cleveland Browns opened their 21-day return window, giving the veteran receiver a chance to return to the field for Week 10’s matchup against the New York Jets.
The Browns’ offense has struggled this season, but Tillman would be a welcome big target at wide receiver for rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel. Tillman has logged full practices this week and is on track to return in Week 10.
Harold Fannin Jr., TE, Cleveland Browns | Questionable
Cleveland Browns’ rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr. was listed as a non-participant on Thursday due to a hamstring injury. He was upgraded to a limited participant on Friday, which does give him a chance to play Week 10.
Veteran tight end David Njoku would elevate to a top 12 option if Fannin is unable to play Week 10.
