    Jayden Daniels, QB, Washington Commanders

Jayden Daniels’ injury-riddled second season took another turn in Week 9 after he suffered a severe elbow injury in the fourth quarter of Washington’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Daniels’ elbow was immediately put into a brace as he was helped off the field.

Luckily, it was Daniels’ non-throwing elbow, so the long-term implications aren’t going to be significant. But there is a very good chance that his 2025 season will be over. Marcus Mariota is set to return to the starting lineup for the foreseeable future.

    C.J. Stroud, QB, Houston Texans

C.J. Stroud suffered a concussion in the Texans’ Week 9 loss to the Denver Broncos. He has a chance to play in Week 10 but will need to progress through the NFL’s concussion protocol to return to the field.

If he’s unable to do so in a week, then veteran quarterback Davis Mills will make his first start of the season against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

    Aaron Jones, RB, Minnesota Vikings

Aaron Jones was having a fantastic game against the Detroit Lions, generating 98 yards on 11 touches (nine carries and two receptions) before suffering a shoulder injury in the third quarter. He did not return to the game.

Vikings fans (and fantasy managers) got good news on Monday when head coach Kevin O’Connell stated that Jones suffered a mild AC joint sprain. Jones has a chance to play in Week 10, but should miss minimal time if he’s unable to go.

Puka Nacua, WR, Los Angeles Rams

Puka Nacua was awesome in his first game since Week 6, racking up seven receptions on eight targets for 95 yards and a touchdown. Unfortunately, Nacua suffered a chest injury on a handoff during the third quarter and did not return to the game against the New Orleans Saints.

Nacua was to undergo additional testing on Monday, but initial reports indicate he dodged a significant injury. Monitor his practice participation closely ahead of Week 10’s divisional matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.

Brian Thomas Jr. WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

A season to forget continued for Brian Thomas Jr. in Week 9. The second-year receiver suffered an ankle injury in the fourth quarter of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ game against the Las Vegas Raiders and did not return.

Thomas needed to undergo additional testing, but there is concern that he suffered a high-ankle sprain during the play. If that is the case, Thomas could miss several weeks.

Newly acquired wide receiver Jakobi Meyers will become the de facto WR1 in Jacksonville if Thomas misses time. Parker Washington and Dyami Brown (who suffered a concussion in Week 9) are also intriguing options.

Matthew Golden, WR, Green Bay Packers

Matthew Golden wasn’t the biggest name injured for the Green Bay Packers, but Tucker Kraft has overshadowed his departure from Week 9’s game against the Carolina Panthers. Golden suffered a shoulder injury in the third quarter of the Packers’ loss to the Panthers.

Head coach Matt LaFluer suggested that Golden’s injury was not serious, which gives him a chance to play in Week 10. Golden is considered day-to-day.

Kayshon Boutte, WR, New England Patriots

Kayshon Boutte had become a popular streaming option in fantasy due to his connection downfield with Drake Maye for the New England Patriots. Unfortunately, Boutte suffered a hamstring injury that not only knocked him out of Week 9’s game but will keep him on the bench for the foreseeable future.

Rookie Kyle Williams becomes an exciting piece of the Patriots’ offense as a deep threat, as long as Boutte is out.

Tucker Kraft, TE, Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers got devastating news on Monday regarding tight end Tucker Kraft. The team confirmed that Kraft tore his ACL against the Carolina Panthers, bringing his season to an early end.

Kraft entered the week as the TE1 in PPR points per game (16.2). Fantasy managers will now have to hit the waiver wire to replace one of the best weapons at tight end in football. Veteran Luke Musgrave is an interesting option to replace Kraft for the Packers, even if he won’t be a genuine one-to-one replacement on the field.
