The 2025 season has been a challenging one for managing injuries to key players in fantasy football. Unfortunately, Week 11 was more of the same. Some big names suffered significant injuries that could alter the course of fantasy football seasons right before the playoffs. Check out the big injuries in Week 11’s games below.

Jordan Love, QB, Green Bay Packers
Jordan Love was removed from the Green Bay Packers’ game against the New York Giants in the first quarter due to a shoulder injury. At one point, Love went to the locker room for additional tests but returned to the field after missing a series.
Love admitted after the game that his shoulder was sore, but he was able to play through the injury. Injuries like this can worsen once the game is over, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see Love miss or log limited practices this week.
If the injury does cost Love time, expect Malik Willis to be under center for the Packers.
Michael Penix Jr. QB, Atlanta Falcons
Michael Penix Jr. left the Atlanta Falcons’ game against the Carolina Panthers in the third quarter after taking a hit in the pocket and landing awkwardly. Unfortunately, the initial news is not ideal for Penix or the Falcons.

It appears that Penix has suffered a significant enough knee injury to end his second season early. It is also the third time his ACL has been damaged since college (he injured his right knee twice at Indiana). Penix’s first full season as a starter ends with a disappointing 13.4 points per game and a QB28 finish.
Kirk Cousins will elevate to the Falcons’ starting quarterback for the remainder of the season with Penix out.
Aaron Rodgers, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Aaron Rodgers suffered a wrist injury in the second quarter of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ win over the Cincinnati Bengals. He was replaced during the game by Mason Rudolph and did not return.
After the game, reports surfaced that Rodgers had suffered a small break in his non-throwing wrist. The Steelers have yet to rule him out and consider him a “50-50” to suit up for Week 12’s matchup against the Chicago Bears.
If Rodgers is ultimately ruled out, then Mason Rudolph will make his first start of the 2025 season against a banged-up Bears’ secondary.
Dillon Gabriel, QB, Cleveland Browns
Dillon Gabriel suffered a concussion in the second quarter of the Cleveland Browns’ loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The Browns turned to fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders in the second half of the game.
Gabriel will need to clear the NFL’s concussion protocol before he’s able to return to the field. There is a chance that Sanders makes his first career start in Week 12 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
De’Von Achane, RB, Miami Dolphins
It was reported during the fourth quarter of the Miami Dolphins game against the Washington Commanders that De’Von Achane suffered a back injury and was questionable to return. The veteran running back did return and handled several touches in the fourth quarter and overtime.
The fact that Achane finished the game is a good sign, but players can still have injuries worsen after the game. Any time missed for Achane would lead to a split backfield with roles for both Ollie Gordon II and Jaylen Wright.
Josh Jacobs, RB, Green Bay Packers
Like Jordan Love, Josh Jacobs suffered an injury in the first half of the Packers’ matchup against the Giants. Unlike Love, Jacobs did not return to the game.
On Monday, the team learned that Jacobs’ knee was structurally sound and the veteran running back dodged a significant injury. He is considered week-to-week at this time, but is expected to miss some games.
Emmanuel Wilson handled 11 carries and had a reception with Jacobs sidelined in Week 11, and would be the presumptive starter for the Packers in the future. Green Bay also has Chris Brooks on the active roster and Pierre Strong Jr. on the practice squad.
Jaylen Warren, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers’ running back Jaylen Warren suffered an ankle injury in the third quarter of the team’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Warren attempted to return to the game but did not touch the ball again after the injury occurred.
After the game, Warren stated that he could have returned, but he and the team decided to keep him on the sidelines to preserve him for the future. His participation in practice throughout the week will demonstrate how true that is.

Kenneth Gainwell has handled the bulk of the Steelers’ backfield while Warren has been sidelined, with significant success. Still, rookie Kaleb Johnson also had five carries after he exited the game.
Kimani Vidal, RB, Los Angeles Chargers
Kimani Vidal has held down the backfield without Najee Harris and Omarion Hampton in recent weeks, but suffered a thigh injury in the second quarter of the Los Angeles Chargers game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was unable to return to the game.
The Chargers have a bye week in Week 12, so Vidal will have ample time to heal fully. There is also hope that Hampton will be able to return from the injured reserve after the bye week, which could complicate how this backfield is split heading into the fantasy playoffs.
Bhayshul Tuten, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars
Week 11 was the best game of Bhayshul Tuten’s career. The rookie was incorporated into the backfield early and often, racking up 15 carries for 74 yards and a touchdown before suffering an ankle injury in the fourth quarter.
Not much news has come out about this injury, but Tuten said after the game that he was “good.” Unfortunately, we have several examples over the years of players coming out of a game feeling good before the full effect of the injury sets in.
Travis Etienne Jr. is the big winner if Tuten is forced to miss time. Rookie LeQuint Allen Jr. also had eight carries against the Los Angeles Chargers, but all of them came in the fourth quarter of a blowout victory.
Emari Demercado, RB, Arizona Cardinals
Emari Demercado has been a key contributor in the Arizona Cardinals’ backfield in the aftermath of the James Conner and Trey Benson injuries. Demercado suffered an ankle injury in Week 11’s matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.
Demercado didn’t return to that game, leaving the backfield touches to Bam Knight (five carries and four targets) and Michael Carter (two carries and seven targets).
There have been no additional reports regarding the severity of his injury at this time. Knight and Carter would be set to split the Cardinals’ backfield in Week 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but Trey Benson could be activated from the injured reserve at any time.
Drake London, WR, Atlanta Falcons
Drake London suffered a knee injury during the Atlanta Falcons’ Week 11 loss to the Carolina Panthers. On Monday, we learned that the injury is a PCL injury, which will force London to miss at least one game.
We have seen players struggle to return from PCL injuries over the last few years (as seen with Brock Bowers this season), and time will tell how long it takes him to regain full strength.
For now, it is fair to expect Darnell Mooney and Kyle Pitts to be the lead pass catchers for the Falcons against the Saints in Week 12. David Sills V has been operating as the Falcons’ third receiver in recent weeks, but KhaDarel Hodge is the direct backup to Drake London.
Calvin Ridley, WR, Tennessee Titans
Calvin Ridley returned from his hamstring injury in Week 11 but quickly exited the Tennessee Titans matchup against the Houston Texans with a leg injury. After the game, it was reported that Ridley suffered a broken fibula and would miss the rest of the 2025 season.
Tennessee has experience playing without Ridley this season, but the team will need rookies Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike to step up in his absence.
