Jayden Daniels enters his third NFL season carrying immense fantasy upside, looking to bounce back after a slew of injuries completely derailed his 2025 campaign. We already know exactly what the ceiling looks like when he is fully healthy: he finished as a top-5 fantasy quarterback in 2024, and he gave us a bit of everything in the process.
Should I Draft Jayden Daniels in Fantasy Football?
To help ensure he reaches that ceiling again, Washington aggressively upgraded his supporting cast this offseason. They added veteran Stefon Diggs, finally giving Daniels reliable wide receiver depth to work with next to Terry McLaurin.
Diggs was managed last season, but he did earn work when on the field and bringing him in allows them to slow play the development of Antonio Williams.

They also brought in Chig Okonkwo from Tennessee to replace Zach Ertz at tight end. I don’t think that move was given nearly enough flowers when it happened, as Okonkwo’s athleticism over the middle of the field should help elevate the weekly floor of this entire passing unit.
Speaking of floor elevators, running back Rachaad White will play his age-27 season with the Commanders. He caught 40-of-45 targets last season with the Buccaneers and can be considered an absolute elite threat as a pass catcher out of the backfield, giving Daniels a highly reliable check-down option.

I do worry slightly about the overall pass-catcher depth behind Diggs if injuries strike the receiver room. However, if the top few options can simply stay healthy and this coaching staff can maximize what White does out of the backfield, Daniels could not just return to the elite dual-threat production we saw from him in 2024, but potentially improve upon it.
Draft him with confidence. You don’t need to draft a backup QB for any of the elites at the position: there is enough depth that you can patchwork the position together should an injury derail this profile for a second straight season.
