Top DSTs To Start in Week 9
New York Giants (at LV)
The New York Giants’ defense has quietly been producing recently, with three fantasy finishes within the top 10 over the past month! And now they’ll draw a matchup in Week 9 against a Las Vegas Raiders offense that’s struggling to generate much on offense.
We have yet to see them tonight on Monday Night Football, so maybe Jimmy Garoppolo’s return changes the equation here. However, we have a larger sample size to suggest that the Raiders matchup isn’t one to be afraid of for fantasy football.
Atlanta Falcons (vs. MIN)
It’s going to be hard to trust the defense that just allowed Will Levis to throw for four touchdowns in his first-ever NFL start, but the Falcons’ defense finds itself matched up against the Vikings in Week 9, who lost quarterback Kirk Cousins to a lower leg (most likely Achilles) injury Sunday.
This could mean a free agent QB like Carson Wentz will start on short notice. Otherwise, the Vikings will look to play rookie Jaren Hall like they did after Cousins went down. The Falcons are a solid streaming option.
