Trevor Lawrence didn’t immediately pan out as the superstar quarterback many believed he could be coming out of the draft. A no-doubt first overall pick selection by the Jacksonville Jaguars, inconsistent play, and a plethora of injuries marred the first four seasons of his career.
However, the organization continued to believe in him and accepted appointing a new head coach as the best way to allow him to thrive. Unfortunately, it did not look like things were working out early in Liam Coen’s tenure. However, over the last month, the offense has turned a corner, and Lawrence looks like one of the best quarterbacks in all of football.
Fans Are Starting to Believe in Trevor Lawrence
Ranking 16th on PFSN’s QB Impact, Lawrence has seen a dramatic rise in the standings after two consecutive weeks in the top-3. This week might not be any different, as he’s turned it up a notch against one of the best teams in the entire league.
At 12-2, the Denver Broncos have the single best record of any team in the NFL, with 11 consecutive games behind them. However, facing the Jaguars, they seem to have finally met the match. Final result? Jags 34 – 20 Broncos.
Unable to do anything to stop them, the second-ranked unit on PFSN’s Defense Impact gave up 34 points, as Lawrence sliced them up for three touchdowns and 279 yards through the air, while adding a rushing touchdown to the tally as well.
Fans were understandably impressed as it marked a four-week stretch where he had put together 14 touchdowns without a single turnover to his credit. In that stretch, the team had also gone 4-0, taking a vice grip on the AFC South and potentially keeping themselves alive for the one-seed in the conference.
Ryan Clark was quick to point out that the offensive turnaround for Jacksonville was legitimate, as he wrote, “Y’all!! Jacksonville’s offense ain’t bull crapping!! Whoa!” However, he wasn’t the only one who recognised the success they were having.
A 14-year veteran turned analyst Chase Daniel also had similarly high praise for the team. However, he chose to focus specifically on the job their quarterback had done over the last stretch of games.
Taking to X, he wrote, “The Jags are very, very good….Trevor Lawrence looks like a completely different player this year. Announcing themselves to the entire world vs the #1 seed.”

The impressiveness of the unit continued in the second half, as they were able to pour on 17 points in relatively short order. As a result, Clark made another exclamation, this time centred Lawrence specifically. “This is the Trevor Lawrence they’ve been waiting on in Jacksonville!”
However, fans were also quick to point out the person responsible for bringing out the best version of the former first overall pick. As one fan proclaimed, “Liam Coen has fully unleashed Trevor Lawrence,” it was hard to look at the results and deny his inference.
While another was ready to crown him MVP: “TREVOR LAWRENCE FOR MVP!!!!!!!”” And that was a fairly standard response to the excitement.
One comment read, “Trevor Lawrence is a top 5 QB in the league, and the Jacksonville Jaguars are the best team in the AFC.” Maybe that’s true. Another fan pointed it out, writing: “Trevor Lawrence is a top 5 QB in the NFL, debate with a wall.”
At 11-4 now, it’s hard to argue, with Lawrence hardly putting a wrong foot forward.
