The Green Bay Packers revealed their NFL Rivalries alternate uniforms on Tuesday, to divergent reactions from fans on social media. The alternate uniforms borrow from the franchise’s iconic green and gold colors and will be worn in the rivalry game against the Chicago Bears on October 11.

NFL fans on X had mixed reactions to the NFC North giants’ new alternate rivalry uniforms.
Jason Brown mocked the quality of the rivalry uniforms.

One fan was not impressed by the design of the Packers’ rivalry uniforms.
“Mid Mid Mid Skip Skip,” the fan posted.
Another fan concluded that none of this year’s NFL Rivalries jerseys passed muster.

Gabriel Idowu dismissed the Packers’ efforts to make their NFL Rivalries jerseys unique.

“Just out here wasting fabric,” Idowu complained.
Even the team’s own fans were not impressed by the jersey design.
“I can’t stress how bad these are,” the Packers fan exclaimed.
One fan compared the jerseys to a college football team.
“Is it supposed to look like a college team??? my bad,” the fan mocked.

The team’s website described the rivalry uniform’s unique features in detail.
“The uniform features a desaturated vintage green jersey with delicate alabaster and gold stripes, paired with alabaster pants and a matching matte helmet with green and gold striping and a matte green facemask,” the description reads.
“The alabaster palette is reminiscent of the aged paper of historic Packers stock certificates, while the jersey numbers feature an engraved treatment modeled after the intricate lettering of paper currency, reflecting the financial support that has helped sustain the franchise.”
The October 11 matchup between the Packers and the Bears will be the franchises’ 214th meeting.
The Bears are charter members of the APFA, which preceded the NFL; the Packers joined a year later, in 1921.
The NFL Rivalries is a league-wide initiative in conjunction with Nike, aimed at elevating the various rivalries through specially designed uniforms and fan gear. The initiative kicked off in 2025, and in 2026, teams from the NFC North and AFC South will wear unique uniforms for home games against division rivals.
