Mina Kimes was among a number of ESPN analysts who predicted the Houston Texans would upset the New England Patriots today. Although the game was played at Gillette Stadium, the NFL Live crew believed the visitors would win, and all of them predicted the same result.
Mina Kimes Says Getting Trolled By Cardi B Is ‘An Honor And A Privilege’ Following Patriots Win
Things did not go as expected. All analysts picked the Texans, and they were all wrong, as the Patriots won 28-16 to advance to the AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos. Naturally, the trolls came out in full force.
Superstar rapper Cardi B filmed a video trolling the analysts after the game. Cardi B is the girlfriend of Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who scored a touchdown and finished with four receptions for 40 yards against one of the league’s best defenses.
Kimes decided to laugh about the situation, especially with no argument to make after predicting the wrong winner. She said that “getting dunked on by Cardi B [is] an honor and a privilege” as she replied to Cardi B’s video.

With the win, the Patriots advanced to their first AFC Championship Game since the 2018 season, when Tom Brady was still their quarterback. Diggs is also back in a conference championship for the first time since 2020, when he played for the Buffalo Bills and lost to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Diggs has been in the NFL since the 2015 season, and his most notable moment also came in a Divisional Round game. He was responsible for the catch in the Minneapolis Miracle during the 2017 season, scoring a game-winning touchdown against the New Orleans Saints.
The hope for the wide receiver, and for Cardi B, is that he can finally take one step further and play in the first Super Bowl of his career. He has done enough to help New England this season, as the PFSN WR Impact Metric ranks him No. 4 at the position, behind only Puka Nacua, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and George Pickens.
For the Texans, the predictions made by the NFL Live crew likely did not account for the possibility that C.J. Stroud would deliver one of the worst performances of his career. He threw four interceptions in the first half alone, and the game became a turnover-filled affair with eight total changes of possession. The Patriots, however, found a way to survive.
