Everyone knows about the alleged affair between Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel by now, but as more details come out, it just gets weirder and weirder.
Russini has resigned from her position at The Athletic, and after taking time away from the New England Patriots during the NFL Draft, Vrabel returned to the team. However, he still said he will need to take some for himself. Now, many across the NFL landscape are reacting to the Patriots’ head coach’s situation.
Marcellus Wiley Reacts To Latest Development on Dianna Russini-Mike Vrabel
On Monday afternoon, news surfaced on social media of a Spotify playlist made by Russini that was shared with a user named Mike.
The account that dug this information up also determined it was shared with that user during a Tennessee Titans four-game losing streak in 2022.
If we assume the user named Mike was Vrabel, the situation becomes even deeper.
Marcellus Wiley, who played 10 years in the NFL from 1997 to 2006 and was named to the second-team All-Pro in 2021, recently discussed the affair on “Dat Dude TV.” It’s safe to say the former Pro Bowler was rather shocked by the latest news in the affair.
“I can’t believe this happened, but this is real. Dianna Russini made a Spotify playlist called “Turning The Page” that she shared with a user named Mike on December 19, 2022. Now let’s just say this Mike ain’t her son… Which just so happens to coincide with a four-game Titans’ losing streak,” Wiley said. “She sending her boo some soup. Oh my god. I mean, her husband, he’s a strong man.
“Look, I’ve been embarrassed before, too, and worse than being embarrassed, I’ve also been privately shamed, and I’ve been stuck,” Wiley added. “Like, I wish people knew what I was dealing with. Sometimes the world knows. Sometimes the world doesn’t know what you’re harboring. They don’t know what you’re carrying. And I don’t know which one’s worse, to tell you the truth.”
Wiley continued to explain the internal turmoil of feeling stuck, based on his past experience.

“If everyone looks at you like you should be okay and you’re like, ‘Yo, you don’t even know what the f–k I’m dealing with.’ Which one’s worse?” Wiley said. “I’ve been there, ‘Oh man, people don’t know the weight I’m carrying,’ versus the one where everyone sees someone and they’re like, ‘Oh wow, are you okay?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah.’
“But at least I’m hearing people say, ‘Are you okay?’ Most people gonna be empathetic to you.”
The playlist included 18 songs and lasted one hour and nine minutes. Wiley went on to express his opinion on what was really going on in the affair between the NFL reporter and Patriots head coach, saying it was more than hookups, and that they were in a kind of serious relationship.
“I’m just like, ‘Yo, I think we actually are in a way of them really having a real relationship,'” Wiley continued. “It’s one thing to get a little worm on the side, but it’s another thing to — ‘Yo, I’m in love.’ Like, what y’all doing?”
At this point, it’s unclear whether Vrabel will continue as the Patriots’ head coach, but there are no signs to the contrary.
