‘This Deserves a Pulitzer’ — NFL World Reacts As Internet Uncovers Spotify Playlist Dianna Russini May Have Sent Mike Vrabel

The internet dug up a playlist that Dianna Russini shared with "Mike" in 2022. On Tuesday, more evidence connecting the playlist to Mike Vrabel surfaced.

The Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini story continues to be one of the biggest scandals in recent NFL history. From the moment that the pair were photographed at an Arizona resort two hours away from the league meetings last month, the internet has been digging through old tweets and podcast clips in an effort to connect dots.

Now, the most recent entry in this bizarre story came from a Spotify playlist that the NFL insider may have shared with Vrabel back when he was the head coach of the Tennessee Titans.

NFL World Reacts to Rumored Dianna Russini, ‘Mike’ Vrabel Spotify Playlist

The entire saga began when pictures of the two surfaced at an Arizona resort. Since then, Russini has tried to paint it as a happenstance that the two were at the same place at the same time.

Simultaneously, she has also stepped down from her role at The Athletic, while Vrabel alluded to “difficult conversations” with the Patriots and his family.

The head coach wasn’t present during the third day of the 2026 NFL Draft to enter counseling with his family. Now, as new photographs surfaced showing Vrabel and Russini together as far back as 2020, this is starting to look more like a multi-year relationship rather than some fling.

The most recent evidence came in the form of a playlist on Spotify, titled “TURNIN THE PAGE.” Made by Russini, it was shared with one other person, who appeared as a collaborator named “Mike.”

David Covucci broke it down further, stating, “Dianna Russini made a Spotify playlist called ‘TURNIN THE PAGE’ that she shared with a user named ‘Mike’ on December 19, 2022. Which just so happens to coincide with a four-game Titans losing streak.”

Alex Insdorf was quick to connect the dots, showing a game from December 18, 2022, when the Titans lost to the Los Angeles Chargers in heartbreaking fashion.

Immediately, some fans were blown away by the sheer depths some were willing to go to for the story. As Ryan Coyle pointed to the obvious, “People are digging DEEP.”

Tom Downey joked, “And they said journalism is dead.”

Some, though, were shocked that the playlist became public knowledge.

“Is there ANYTHING this woman didn’t make public? JFC,” Will Applebee expressed his bemusement.

Cole Jackson quipped, “This story is the gift that keeps on giving.”

Jonathan Bowen could only express his awe at the playlist being unearthed, writing, “The internet is undefeated.”

Some, like Chuck Bass, cracked a joke about the songs on the playlist: “Off all the things to come from this Vrabel/Russini story, this playlist is by far the worst.”

Reporter Yaron Weitzman said, “This deserves a Pulitzer,” while others focused on the songs themselves. “Cuff it, break my soul, and pump it louder are all such fitting song titles for this,” one user added.

UPDATE: Did Vrabel and Russini Accidentally Confirm the Spotify Playlist Was real?

On Tuesday, a day after the internet somehow dug up the Spotify playlist and it went viral across social media, people noticed that the “Mike” in question changed their user name.

However, they changed their user name to “Tycar,” which is notable because Vrabel’s sons are named Tyler and Carter.

“if i was trying to cover my tracks here, i would not rename my spotify account to a mashup of my two sons names,” Covucci wrote on X.

Others dug into Vrabel’s musical tastes and discovered that many of his favorite bands appear on this playlist.

“Upon further review, it seems that this playlist MUST have been for Vrabel,” wrote sports radio host Jared Stillman. “Jim Wyatt reported that for that practice in 2023 (on Vrabel’s birthday) they played: “Def Leppard, Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Motley Crue, Metallica and even some old school Styx (Renegade)” Look at the bottom of the playlist…”

Then, as if this wasn’t damning enough, Russini deleted the playlist.

This situation just keeps getting weirder and weirder. With the user name changing to a combination of his sons’ names and then Russini deleting the playlist altogether, it feels like Vrabel and Russini just accidentally confirmed that this playlist was, in fact, real.

That isn’t verified — it’s just the internet connecting dots — but this is just the latest bizarre bombshell to come from this saga.

It remains to be seen if new information will surface in the coming days, but regardless, it doesn’t seem like this scandal will be slowing down anytime soon.
