With the 80th overall pick in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens drafted USC wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane as a new weapon for MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson.
After the selection, former Dallas Cowboy and Raven Dez Bryant sent a four-word message to Jackson about Lane.
Dez Bryant Reacts to Ravens Drafting Ja’Kobi Lane
Across three seasons and 30 games with USC, Lane recorded 99 receptions for 1,363 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns. In PFSN’s College Football Wide Receiver Impact Metric (CFB WRi), he has an average impact score of 77.8 across two qualified seasons.
In his junior season, the 6-foot-4 receiver played 11 games, recording 49 receptions, 745 receiving yards, and 4 touchdowns. He ranked 60th in PFSN’s CFB WRi with an impact score of 79.0 and a letter grade of C+.
Now, he’ll get the chance to partner up with Jackson. Following the pick, Bryant sent the following message to the quarterback:

In PFSN’s NFL Offensive Impact Metric, the Ravens ranked in the bottom half of the league in production, largely due to Jackson’s injuries. They finished with an impact score of 72.7 and a letter grade of C-, placing them 20th.
Now, they look to add another threat to their offense with Lane. Here’s how Ravens receivers performed in PFSN’s NFL Wide Receiver Impact Metric last season:
Zay Flowers’ 2025 Impact
Flowers is one of only two receivers who qualified in PFSN’s WRi and are still on the roster.
In 2025, he recorded 86 receptions for 1,211 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns. In PFSN’s WRi, he ranked seventh in the league with an impact score of 86.2 and a letter grade of B.
Recently, the team exercised his fifth-year option, which will keep him under contract through 2027. Even though no extension has been signed, the Ravens revealed they fully anticipate reaching an agreement with Flowers to keep him in Baltimore for the foreseeable future.
Rashod Bateman’s 2025 Performance
Last season was a poor season for Bateman, who had very little production.
In 13 games, he recorded only 19 receptions for 224 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. In PFSN’s WRi, he ranked 107th with an impact score of 61.6 and a grade of D-.

Just one season before that, he recorded 45 receptions for 756 receiving yards and nine touchdowns while ranking 39th in PFSN’s WRi with an impact score of 78.0 and a letter grade of C+. Quite the drop in production for a young and experienced receiver.
If Jackson can stay healthy, there’s no reason the Ravens’ offense shouldn’t return to the dynamic form we’ve seen before.
