Shedeur’s father is eager to meet with his son’s coach to discuss the future. How the meeting is received remains to be seen.

“I was supposed to go, actually, next week, but I’ve got to shoot a commercial, to Cleveland to meet [Monken],” Deion said. “Because I want to meet him. So, I anticipate, and I can’t wait to have that conversation with Coach Monken.”

Monken has a mountain on his shoulders, being tasked with turning one of the most unsuccessful NFL franchises into a consistent playoff contender. The team had a 52.0 PFSN Offense Impact score in 2025, ranking last in the league.

“I love it, man, because he’s a straight shooter,” Deion said of Monken. “All these little side conversations that was had before him, he ain’t with that.”
