Latest News Surrounding Davante Adams
Adams may not be at 100% while dealing with a lingering shoulder injury, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t expect to perform at a high level.
According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Adams appears to be a bit frustrated with his recent lack of usage in the Raiders’ passing game.
When looking at the numbers of both Adams and fellow starting wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, you can see where his potential frustration is coming from.
Davante Adams’ Recent Production
- Week 3: 20 targets, 13 receptions, 172 receiving yards, 2 TDs
- Week 4: 13 targets, 8 receptions, 75 receiving yards
- Week 5: 4 targets, 4 receptions, 45 receiving yards
- Week 6: 5 targets, 2 receptions, 29 receiving yards
Jakobi Meyers’ Recent Production
- Week 3: 12 targets, 7 receptions, 85 receiving yards
- Week 4: 4 targets, 2 receptions, 33 receiving yards
- Week 5: 10 targets, 7 receptions, 75 receiving yards, TD
- Week 6: 7 targets, 5 receptions, 61 receiving yards, TD
Adams has been an elite producer at the wide receiver position for the last three seasons. And while his comments do require some context, his involvement in the offense is certainly worth monitoring in the coming weeks.
Will Adams Play This Week?
Adams was listed as a limited participant for Wednesday’s practice.
While fantasy managers should certainly monitor Adams’ practice participation as the week progresses, no one should be worried about his status for Sunday’s game quite yet.

Adams was listed as a DNP for Wednesday’s practice last week but logged a full practice on Friday before ultimately playing 91% of the offensive snaps against the New England Patriots in Week 6.
As long as Adams stays on the practice field this week, he is likely to play through the shoulder injury again in Week 7.
What Does This Mean for Adams’ and Jakobi Meyers’ Fantasy Ranking?
Barring any significant setbacks, Adams should be available for fantasy managers this week.
However, Meyers has proven to be a reliable option for fantasy managers… when quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has been under center.
MORE: PFN Consensus Rankings
Garoppolo exited last week’s game with a back injury and was listed as a non-participant in Wednesday’s practice.
If Garoppolo is unavailable this week, either Brian Hoyer or rookie Aidan O’Connell will get the starting nod under center, which likely won’t help the fantasy value of Adams or Meyers this week.
