The Dallas Cowboys’ 2025 season has been uneven under new coach Brian Schottenheimer. Dallas has a 5-5-1 record, which is still good enough for second place in the NFC East, but the team has had a hard time finding consistency.
The offense has had incredible moments, while the defense has been among the weakest in the league. Nevertheless, in Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles, quarterback Dak Prescott reached a big milestone.
Dak Prescott’s Fiancee Celebrated Dallas QB After Milestone
Prescott came into the Week 12 game needing 159 passing yards to move past Tony Romo for the most career passing yards in Dallas Cowboys history. Romo retired in 2016 with 34,183 yards and 248 touchdowns, both long-standing team records. Prescott began the game with 34,024 yards and a completion rate of 67.1%.
In the third quarter against the Philadelphia Eagles, Prescott passed Romo’s yardage mark. With about four minutes left in the quarter, he had completed 16 of 23 passes for 203 yards, pushing him into first place on the Cowboys’ all-time passing list.
Although the Cowboys trailed 21-7 at that point and the game was not going their way, the accomplishment was an important moment for Prescott.
After the game, which Dallas won 24-21, Prescott’s fiancee, Sarah Jane Ramos, posted a message celebrating him. Sharing a compilation of clips that included their family moments, she wrote: “In 4️⃣ we trust 🙏💙 Most passing yards in Cowboys history. So proud of you babe!!”

Prescott and Ramos met in Miami during a holiday weekend party, a detail she shared during an Instagram Q&A after their engagement. They began dating in September 2023 and now have two daughters.
Their first daughter, Margaret Jane, was born in February 2024, and their second daughter, Aurora Rayne, was born in May this year.
While Prescott now holds the Cowboys’ record for career passing yards, he is still working toward Romo’s franchise record for touchdown passes.
Romo finished with 248, while Prescott reached 236 after throwing two touchdowns in Week 12. With six games remaining in the season, Prescott would need 13 more passing scores to move ahead of Romo.
Offensively, the Cowboys have performed well. According to PFSN’s Offense Impact metric, Dallas ranks third in the NFL with a score of 87.6. Prescott also ranks sixth in PFSN’s QB Impact metric with a score of 83.9. New additions such as running back Javonte Williams and wide receiver George Pickens have helped strengthen the offense alongside CeeDee Lamb.
