Micah Parsons Is a Green Bay Packer

Parsons is heading to Wisconsin in an unthinkable blockbuster. He got his He took to social media with a quick message for Packers fans and the Cowboys organization as he begins his career in Green Bay.

“Thank you Dallas ….. GO Pack Go!” said Parsons on X.

Parsons thanked Dallas for all the love, but he is ready to move on to his next chapter in the NFC North. Parsons illustrated that this wasn’t how he envisioned it to end, but just how it all played out.

“I never wanted this chapter to end, but not everything was in my control,” said Parsons.

Parsons felt disrespected by how he was treated by the Cowboys and no longer wanted to be there. A two-time First-Team All-Pro rarely ever becomes available on the market this early into his career.

The Packers saw an opportunity to add a generational edge rusher and did exactly that. They didn’t get Parsons without paying a hefty price, but for a player like him, it could be well worth it.

The Packers sent two first-round picks and DT Kenny Clark over to the Cowboys in return for Parsons. Along with trading away plenty of compensation, the Packers gave Parsons a contract that he wanted. With a deal worth $47 million annually, Parsons inked a four-year deal worth $188 million, of which $136 million is guaranteed.

After a long wait, Parsons has the deal that he has been searching for all offseason. Now, it is a race against time to get him on the field for their season opener against the Detroit Lions.

The Lions were the No. 1 seed in the NFC last season and will be a tough opponent once again, but adding Parsons elevates the Packers’ pass rush to a new level. This opener between division rivals could get even better with Parsons potentially playing Week 1.

Parsons will have his eyes set on terrorizing the NFC North for years to come. Jared Goff, Caleb Williams, and J.J. McCarthy have to start preparing for Parsons to be coming off the edge against them multiple times in 2025.

Lining up across Lukas Van Ness, Parsons can form a dynamic duo rushing the quarterback in Green Bay and help propel the Packers to unlock their next gear.
