Los Angeles’ WR Depth Chart

The Chargers are developing a young core of receivers starring Ladd McConkey. Accompanying McConkey, the Chargers have Quentin Johnston, Tre Harris, KeAndre Lambert-Smith, and Derius Davis. Keenan Allen is also back in Los Angeles for the Chargers after spending one season in Chicago.

Who is Ladd McConkey?

McConkey is the number one target in Los Angeles now after a very promising rookie season. He was selected early in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft and lived up to his draft stock.

His elite route-running helped him rack up 82 receptions, 1,149 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns, as he developed into Herbert’s primary target.

After breaking Chargers’ rookie records, he has his eyes set on building off of last season and cementing his status as one of the dominant top targets in the NFL.

Who is Quentin Johnston?

Johnston has had an up-and-down start to his NFL career. Dealing with drop issues, he has found it quite hard to transfer his production with TCU to the pros. In two seasons with the Chargers, he has 1,142 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. For a first-round pick, the Chargers have expected more, but they are seeing improvement from his rookie season to his second year and need him to perform in a young receiving room.

Who is Keenan Allen?

Allen has returned home to Los Angeles. Allen spent his first 11 NFL seasons with the Chargers and was ready to come back to catch balls from Herbert again. With over 11,000 receiving yards to his name and plenty of experience, Allen will be the veteran presence in the very young Los Angeles receiver room.

Who is Tre Harris?

Harris is one of the Chargers’ newcomers. With another second-round WR in Los Angeles, they will have high hopes for the rookie out of Ole Miss. Harris is a touchdown threat, with 29 touchdowns in his college career, and he is looking to make an instant impact in Los Angeles.

With McConkey, Johnson, and Allen ahead in the depth chart, as of now, Harris won’t be one of the main targets to begin, but could work his way into a very important offensive role.

Who is KeAndre Lambert-Smith?

Lambert-Smith is another rookie joining the receiving corps for the Chargers. They took a late-round flier on Lambert-Smith, who broke out in 2024 at Auburn.

Lambert-Smith won’t see too much action near the bottom of the depth chart, but can be an impact piece off the bench.

Who is Derius Davis?

Davis doesn’t contribute much as a receiver but is the team’s return man. He was Second-Team All-Pro in 2023 as a return man and will be primarily used there. With one return touchdown in two seasons, Davis will be aiming to add a few more of those to his tally in 2025.
