Jeudy is currently taking reps with both Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders as the Browns’ quarterback competition continues to unfold. The veteran wide receiver drew media attention during a recent practice session after failing to catch an end-zone pass from Sanders.
Reacting to the practice footage on the Nightcap podcast, Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco offered a critical breakdown of the play. The latter emphasized that Jeudy needed to complete the catch on what appeared to be an open target.
“You gotta secure that thing, baby. Secure that thing, baby,” he said.

Sharpe echoed the same criticism, pointing out that the throw required minimal effort from the receiver.
“Let me show, let me show you what I’m talking about,” Sharpe said. “You ain’t gotta do nothing but catch the football. He ain’t gotta do no toe-tap about.”

Ochocinco agreed with Sharpe’s breakdown, describing Jeudy’s technique as “lazy hands.” As Sharpe continued analyzing the play, the former All-Pro WR added, “Yeah, too many drops, too many drops.”
The clip instantly went viral on social media platforms, with fans expressing concern over Jeudy’s consistency as Sanders continues to build chemistry with the Browns’ pass-catchers.

Some fans sarcastically questioned whether Jeudy had done it on purpose, while others wondered if the drop was a sign of lingering issues from last season.
Jeudy finished last season with 50 receptions for 602 yards and two touchdowns across 17 games. He was ranked No. 76 in the PFN WR Impact Rankings.
Meanwhile, the 2026 first-round pick, KC Concepcion, and second-round selection, Denzel Boston, are both making strong impressions during camp workouts.
