The intersection of NFL stars and Hollywood is still drawing attention after Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua shot his shot at a famous actress. The moment is a topic in Los Angeles, as Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker was asked about it on the Up & Adams show with Kay Adams.
Chargers Kicker Reacts to Puka Nacua’s Viral Message to Sydney Sweeney
Dicker joked about the exchange when Adams brought up Nacua’s two-word reply to a post featuring actress Sydney Sweeney. The Chargers kicker offered support for the Rams receiver’s ‘insane’ tactics.
“Who knows. I saw that. I was like, ‘this guy is insane,’” Dicker said. “I think it is great. I think more people need to shoot their shots. It’s a power move from him. I’m backing him. I think they’d be an awesome couple.”

The now-viral incident occurred last week, when Complex shared part of an interview in which Sweeney outlined qualities she looks for in a partner and mentioned skydiving as an activity she enjoys. Nacua responded on X with the message “Love skydiving.” His post quickly circulated and generated millions of views.

Sweeney is a star actress best known for her Emmy-nominated roles in HBO’s Euphoria and The White Lotus. She has since starred in films such as Anyone But You and has become a viral social media personality.
The viral exchange arrived at the close of a standout season for Nacua. The Rams finished 12–5 and advanced to the NFC Championship before losing to Seattle for a third time this year. Los Angeles ranked first in PFSN’s Offense Impact metric with a 92.3 score. Nacua posted a 98.2 WR Impact grade, the highest among receivers. He led the league with 129 receptions and added 1,715 yards. Nacua is a finalist for Offensive Player of the Year.
Nacua’s personal life has been covered previously for reasons unrelated to the social media post. He welcomed a son, Kingston, in October with his former partner, Hallie Aiono, and spoke during the season about how fatherhood had shaped his perspective. The pair called it quits in 2025.
Talking about Sweeney, last year she also went through a breakup. Us Weekly reported the news in March 2025 that Sweeney called off her engagement to Jonathan Davino. Neither Nacua nor Sweeney has addressed the post beyond what was publicly posted. Dicker’s remarks about Up & Adams will help keep this dream couple alive online a little longer.
