The First Team offense is defined by the high-volume production of the UNLV Rebels’ air attack and the elite output of the San Diego State running game. UNLV QB Anthony Colandrea was the most dynamic quarterback in the conference, leading the Rebels to a 10-3 overall record and the Mountain West Championship Game.
Colandrea finished the season with 3,275 passing yards and 23 touchdowns while adding 621 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns, showcasing elite dual-threat ability that fueled the league’s highest-scoring offense (37.17 points per game). San Diego State’s Lucky Sutton was the conference’s premier runner, tallying 1,237 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns on 239 carries for the Aztecs, earning him a semifinalist spot for the Doak Walker Award.
The running back unit was completed by Utah State’s Miles Davis, a versatile playmaker who accumulated 724 rushing yards and 166 receiving yards, totaling 890 all-purpose yards and 11 total touchdowns for the 6-6 Aggies. Jackson Harris proved to be a dangerous receiving threat for Hawaii, leading the Mountain West with 21 yards per reception and 11 touchdowns.

A dominant Aztecs defense placed two players on the First Team, including CB Chris Johnson, the MW Defensive Player of the Year, whose elite coverage was instrumental this season. He was joined by linebacker Owen Chambliss, a high-volume tackler who was a key figure in the San Diego State run defense.
The unit was strong in the trenches, featuring Keyshawn James-Newby and Nevada Dylan Labarbera, who both provided relentless pressure. Air Force’s Payton Zdroik and Hawaii’s De’Jon Benton provided stout interior defense. The secondary featured the latest standout Utah State defensive playmaker, Noah Avinger, while San Jose State linebacker Jordan Pollard was recognized for his consistent production at the position.

The First Team specialists were led by Hawaii’s Kansei Matsuzawa, who was also named the PFSN All-America First Team kicker. “The Tokyo Toe” converted 22 of 23 field goal attempts in 11 games, accumulating 101 points for the Warriors. New Mexico punter Daniel Hughes was recognized for his ability to control field position for the 9-3 Lobos.

The return game featured two of the most explosive players in the conference. New Mexico’s Damon Bankston was a significant threat on kickoffs, providing the Lobos with advantageous starting field position throughout the season. Wyoming’s Deion DeBlanc was recognized as the top punt returner, showcasing elite vision and speed for the Cowboys.

The Second Team offense was led by Boise State QB Maddux Madsen, who guided the Broncos to the Mountain West Championship. The running back duo was comprised of Boise State’s Sire Gaines and UNLV’s Jai’Den Thomas, both of whom were vital components of their team’s high-production offenses.
The receiving threats included San Diego State’s Jordan Napier and Utah State’s Braden Pegan, who tallied 926 yards in his first season with the Aggies. Wyoming flashed its offensive line dominance with OL Wes King, Caden Barnett, and Braylon Jenkins all earning postseason honors.

The Second Team defense recognized strong edge play from Nevada’s Jonathan Maldonado and Air Force’s Isaac Hubert, both of whom were key sources of pressure. Despite ending the year with a 3-9 record, the Wolf Pack placed multiple defensive playmakers on the All-Mountain West second team, including AJ Odums and Bryson Snelling, who tallied 13 pass breakups between them.

The Second Team special teams unit was led by San Diego State’s Gabriel Plascencia, a consistent kicker who contributed almost 30% of the Aztecs’ points during the 2025 college football season. Another Aztec juggernaut makes his second appearance on our All-Mountain West team, as Napier’s multi-phase influence on the team’s success becomes apparent. Meanwhile, Colorado State’s Bryan Hansen was recognized for his solid punting performance for the Rams.

The Third Team offense featured Hawaii quarterback Micah Alejado, who was the MW Freshman of the Year, posting a strong season for the 8-4 Warriors. Dylan Riley’s impressive debut season showcased that the Boise State running back bloodline continues to run strong.
Danny Scudero put up video game numbers as the go-to option for the San Jose State Spartans, but hauling in 26 more targets than his nearest competition impacts his overall grading (and positioning in our All-Mountain West team). Rocky Beers proved he’s more than just an All-Name Team applicant with a seven-touchdown campaign for the Colorado State Rams.

The Third Team defense recognized solid defensive line play, including Boise State’s Jayden Virgin-Morgan and Braxton Fely, both of whom were key to the Broncos’ Mountain West Championship victory. San Diego State’s Trey White and San Jose State’s Quincy Likio also provided valuable defensive line production.
The secondary was dominated by Boise State, with Jeremiah Earby and A’Marion McCoy earning recognition. Fresno State’s Al’zillion Hamilton and Ryan Wilson, along with Utah State’s Ike Larsen, rounded out the Third Team defense.
