Lane Kiffin Drops Huge Hint About Ole Miss Future Ahead of Florida Game

Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin recently posted a cryptic hint about his future ahead of the Rebels' clash with the Florida Gators.

Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss are preparing to take on the Florida Gators tonight. Following the Gators’ decision to fire Billy Napier, the Ole Miss head coach has been one of the most frequently linked names to the job.

Ahead of today’s game, Kiffin’s Ole Miss is looking to solidify their place in the playoffs. According to PFSN’s College Football Playoff Meter, they have a 94.065 chance of reaching the playoffs. However, after a loss to Georgia, they are almost guaranteed out of the race for the SEC.

Lane Kiffin Drops Huge Hint About Ole Miss Future

Ahead of tonight’s game, the Ole Miss head coach posted a cryptic message that could suggest a lot about his current stance. The rumors surrounding Kiffin and Florida have not died down, as it is the most talked-about topic ahead of today’s game.

On his Social Media, which Kiffin is extremely popular for using, the Ole Miss head coach posted a photo with no caption. In this photo, there was a hat that was headlined with the title “Lane Kiffin,2026, BTA.” which many have taken to suggest as meaning Belt to Ass.

“It means ‘belt to ass,’ TD celebration started by the incredible Kewan Lacy.” Was one fan’s suggestion in reference to Ole Miss Running Back Kewan Lacy. While the meaning has not been determined yet, many have interpreted it to mean Kiffin’s staying at Ole Miss.

“Florida is a job that I think Lane Kiffin would prefer over the other two, from what I’ve been told. And they are not quite in the same boat as Ole Miss and LSU in terms of ‘Here, the sky is yours and name your price.’ There are more strings.” ON3 Sports reported.

During this report from ON3’s Pete Nakos, it was also revealed that Kiffin potentially has an open chequebook at his current job. The same was also stated about LSU, which is also currently searching for its new head coach after firing Brian Kelly.

“Our hope is to finish this season really strong and hold on to him for a long time here. He can build a legacy here that he might not have the opportunity to do at other places.” Ole Miss’ athletic director, Keith Carter, explained in a recent interview.

In recent years, Kiffin has turned Ole Miss into one of the best teams in the SEC. The Rebels had their highest ranking in the College Football Playoff since they were fourth in the initial release in 2014. However, his future is far from guaranteed in Mississippi.

Do let us know what you think. Did Kiffin tag Ole Miss to say that he was staying, or is it a cryptic invitation to the other teams to come along with stronger bids and claims? While the first option looks very legitimate, only time will tell where the Head Coach is heading with it.
