Calvin Ridley Injury Update: Titans Announce Devastating News on WR’s Injury

The Tennessee Titans were attempting to secure their second victory of the 2025 NFL season against the Houston Texans on Sunday. Unfortunately, the Titans’ offense suffered a significant blow in the first quarter after wide receiver Calvin Ridley took a big hit.

What Happened To Titans WR Calvin Ridley?

After making the catch and getting tackled on the play, Ridley reached down and grabbed his leg.

Ridley was then checked on the field by Titans medical personnel. After getting off the field, the Titans then carted Ridley back to the locker room.

In the home game for Tennessee, Ridley only had that one 13-yard reception before leaving the game. Ridley is a former first-round draft choice for the Atlanta Falcons in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Alabama. For the season, Ridley has 16 catches for 290 yards and no touchdowns.

Ridley hadn’t played since Week 6, and fantasy managers didn’t get much of a look at him prior to being taken off the field. Ridley’s efforts do not currently place him among team leaders in the PFSN NFL WR Impact metrics.

After the game, Titans insider Jim Wyatt revealed that “Ridley broke his fibula,” and “is done for the year.” It is another big blow for the franchise, which has failed to surround rookie Cam Ward with quality players.

    Fantasy Impact of Ridley’s Injury

Entering this week, Ridley’s production was 21.4% below PPR expectations for the season, and he really hasn’t been an asset as a part of an offense that’s looked lost for the majority of the season.

Chimere Dike is on the fringe of roster worthy, and if you have the luxury of a stash, he’s an upside lottery ticket, but most leagues, competitive fantasy teams aren’t banking on a Titan in any capacity. According to the PFSN NFL WR Impact metrics, Dike has an WR Impact Score of 71.4 and grades out to a C-.

Ridley’s loss will put additional pressure on the rest of the Titans’ receiving corps. It’s been a pretty awful season for Tennessee, and seeing someone of Ridley’s stature not out there on the field could be viewed as a serious issue.

But the Titans are hopeful that Dike and any other Titans receivers can pick up the slack. Ward needs all the offensive firepower he can use with Ridley out. Look for Ward, though, to even take additional chances when Tennessee is on offense.
