Coming into Week 11, the Buffalo Bills look to shake off an embarrassing loss by a score of 30-13 to the Miami Dolphins in Week 10. However, this week they’ll take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers without their sophomore wide receiver, Keon Coleman.
Who are the Other Receiving Options for the Buffalo Bills?
It was announced that Coleman would not play in the Week 11 matchup due to a “coach’s decision,” which means he is healthy; they’re just benching him. With Coleman out this week, here are the details on who quarterback Josh Allen will be throwing to in the Week 11 game against the Buccaneers.
With Coleman being ruled as a healthy scratch, as seen below, here are other options that Allen will throw to today:

Khalil Shakir
Khalil Shakir has been Allen’s primary target this season. Shakir is in his fourth year with the team after being selected in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Through nine games this season, Shakir has caught 45 passes for 457 yards and three touchdowns.
Gabe Davis
Gabe Davis is making his season debut with the Bills, a year after an injury-plagued year with the Jacksonville Jaguars. This isn’t Davis’ first go-around with the Bills, considering they drafted him in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
In 10 games with the Jaguars last year, he only caught 20 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns. However, in his final year with Allen and the Bills, he caught 45 passes for 746 yards and seven touchdowns. He has the potential to be the deep ball threat that the team has been missing this season.
Joshua Palmer
This is Joshua Palmer’s first year with the Buffalo Bills after spending his first four seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers, the team that drafted him in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Palmer has only played six games for the Bills this season. In those games, he’s recorded 14 receptions for 234 yards.
Curtis Samuel
Curtis Samuel is in his second year with the Bills after starting his career with the Carolina Panthers, before moving on to the Washington Commanders.
Samuel has only played in five games this season. In those games, he has five receptions for 62 yards and one touchdown. Last season, he caught 31 passes for 253 yards and one touchdown.
Mecole Hardman
The three-time Super Bowl champion looks to make his season debut this week for the Bills. Mecole Hardman was drafted in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Last season, played 12 games with the Chiefs, but only recorded 12 receptions for 90 yards. He’s spent the past few years strictly as a special teams return man, but his speed gives him the potential to blow the top off the defense.
Tyrell Shavers
Unlike the rest of the players on this list, Shavers wasn’t drafted. In 2023, he signed with the team as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Alabama.

In nine games, Shavers has accumulated seven receptions for 82 yards. Ironically, he’s just surpassed his yard total from last year, which was 69 yards that he collected on just one reception.
The Bills rank 3rd in PFSN’s Offensive Impact metrics, but it’s clear that, aside from Shakir, other wide receivers will need to step up.
