The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are adding final touches to their roster after the 2025 NFL Draft. The Buccanners have cut four players, including veteran wide receiver Marquez Callaway, to make room for their undrafted signings, which are as high as 14 at the time of writing.
Which Players Did the Buccaneers Cut To Make Room For UDFA Signings?
Tampa Bay announced the release of Callaway alongside the waiving of cornerback Dallis Flowers, outside linebacker Daniel Grzesiak, and wide receiver Tanner Knue in a statement on Tuesday, March 29.
All four of the players didn’t get much game time in 2024 and were on the practice squad for most of the season. Callaway joined the Buccs’ practice squad on October 15 and was elevated for two games against the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers where he logged just five snaps.
Flowers was signed to the practice squad on the same day as Callaway, and saw action in two games. He appeared in games against the Las Vegas Raiders and New Orleans Saints and logged 10 snaps on special teams.
Meanwhile, Grzesiak and Knue were undrafted free agents from 2024 and now make room for the next batch of signings. Both spent most of the season on the practice squad, with Knue being elevated to a playoff game against the Washington Commanders before being named a game-day inactive.
Tampa Bay now has 15 openings on its 90-player offseason roster limit, which should be enough to adjust its current UDFA signings.
Buccaneers’ UDFA Signings
These are the players Tampa Bay has agreed to deals with as undrafted free agents so far:
- John Bullock, Linebacker, Nebraska
- Desmond Watson, Defensive tackle, Florida
- Shilo Sanders, Safety, Colorado
- Connor Bazelak, Quarterback, Bowling Green
- Jake Majors, Offensive lineman, Texas
- Will Sheppard, Wide receiver, Colorado
- Josh Williams, Running back, LSU
- Anthony Landphere, Tight end, Memphis
- Ben Scott, Center, Nebraska
- Ben Chukwuma, Offensive tackle, Georgia State
- Ryan Coe, Placekicker, Cal
- Roman Parodie, Cornerback, Ohio
- Garrett Greene, Quarterback/Wide receiver, West Virginia
- J.J. Roberts, Defensive back, Marshall
Colorado safety Shilo Sanders and Nebraska defender John Bullock are the most notable signings here and arguably have the best chance to make the team. Sanders led the Colorado with 70 tackles in 2023 and was third on the team with 67 last season despite missing three games. Bullock, meanwhile, helped Nebraska end the season with its first winning season in eight years.
Florida defensive tackle Desmon Watson, who stands at 6’6” and 464 pounds, would become the heaviest player in the NFL if he makes the team. He didn’t miss a single game during his four-year career with the Gators and is a solid addition to Tampa Bay’s defense.
Other notable names in the list include Jake Majors, Connor Bazelak, and Will Sheppard, and while unlikely, they do have an outside chance of making the roster.

DUDE CALLED Shilo Sanders A STAR! lmao
