The Cleveland Browns have to figure out the quarterback spot for what seems like the latest in a never-ending cycle. However, after the mess of three different starting quarterbacks last season, they need some year-round stability moving forward.
After Shedeur Sanders was given the starting job for the final seven games of the 2025 season, the expectation has to be that he is going to be firmly in the mix. But with the 2026 NFL Draft, the team was also willing to address a key need in the form of the wide receiver room.
Cleveland Browns Wide Receiver Overhaul
Last season, the Cleveland offense faced multiple problems. Between Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel, and Sanders, they never found a stable answer at quarterback. Moreover, the offensive line was a mess all season, ranking dead last on PFSN’s Team Offensive Line Impact Metric.
As a result, adding a tackle was the first order of business for the Browns in the draft, as they went with Spencer Fano out of Utah to secure the tackle spot. The next piece of the puzzle then became the wide receiver room.
Last year, at least partly due to concerns about their quarterback play, none of their wide receivers ranked higher than 89 on PFSN’s WR Impact Metric. For a team trying to be actively competitive with an elite defense, that was a major shortcoming on their end.
As a result, their next two picks in the draft have both focused on improving the wide receiver corps for whoever is their quarterback moving forward. Now, here’s what an updated wide receiver room looks like for them.
1) KC Concepcion
At 24, the Browns selected KC Concepcion for the pick they got from the Jacksonville Jaguars last season. A solid run at NC State preceded a meteoric jump that he took in his lone season with Texas A&M, piling on 919 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns for the Aggies.
At 5’11”, 187 pounds, Concepcion was a human joystick with incredible throttle control, change-of-direction, and spatial feel — traits that lend well to natural separation, RAC ability, and usage versatility.
2) Denzel Boston
To open Day 2 of the draft, the Browns went to the drawing board once again, selecting Denzel Boston with the 39th overall pick, making him the seventh wide receiver taken in the draft. Finding incredible value for a player most believed to be a first-round talent, they added someone who tallied over 1,700 yards and 20 touchdowns in his final two seasons.
Boston’s ability to high-point passes and make difficult grabs made him a go-to weapon when space tightened, and he magnified his vice-grip hand strength with intelligent timing control and catch-point positioning.

3) Jerry Jeudy
A star in his own right for Cleveland in 2024, Jerry Jeudy took a dramatic step back in 2025. But that drop-off could have been a direct result of the Browns’ quarterback situation mismatch.
Ranking at number 104 on WRi, he caught less than 50% of his targets, for a tick over 600 receiving yards and just 2 touchdowns. With more synergy with his signal-caller, the hope has to be that Jeudy can thrive in the new Todd Monken-led offense.
4) Cedric Tillman
A third-round pick for the Browns in 2023, Cedric Tillman has never hit the ground running for the organization. Failing to tally over 350 receiving yards in any individual season, his numbers have been relatively pedestrian.
However, as someone to fill out the depth chart, he can be a solid option to soak up some snaps for them.
5) Isaiah Bond
An undrafted free agent for Cleveland last season, Isaiah Bond quickly found a role within the offense and was a solid contributor all season long. Tallying 338 receiving yards on just 18 catches, he was an incredible deep threat for the offense, averaging 18.8 yards per reception.
