Broncos linked to Eagles TE Dallas Goedert in free agency as Denver looks to add a reliable player for QB Bo Nix.

The Denver Broncos enter the offseason with a clear priority to build a more complete offense around quarterback Bo Nix. After flashes of promise from the young passer, the Broncos’ front office now faces the challenge of surrounding him with reliable weapons.

Broncos Could Target Eagles TE Dallas Goedert This Offseason

As per projections from PFSN’s Jacob Infante, Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert could be one of the most impactful free agents available this offseason. He’s expected to land a two-year deal worth about $14.2 million per year, and the Broncos seem like a perfect fit for him.

Right now, the Broncos have only Evan Engram and Caleb Lohner signed at tight end, which makes it urgent for them to find a more complete player who can block and catch passes effectively.

Goedert fits that profile. The 31-year-old delivered one of the best seasons of his career in 2025. He caught 60 passes for 591 yards and a career-high 11 touchdowns across 15 games. Those 11 scores tied for second among all tight ends in the NFL.

More importantly, Goedert served as a dependable target for Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts during a season when Philadelphia’s offense struggled with inconsistency. That level of reliability is exactly what the Broncos may be looking for as it continues developing Nix.

Goedert has spent eight seasons in the NFL since the Eagles drafted him in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of South Dakota State. Over that span, he has built a reputation as one of the league’s most balanced tight ends.

Goedert is ranked 16th in PFSN’s TE Impact metric with a 78.5 grade. And the Broncos were ranked 15th in PFSN’s Offense Impact metric with a 75.9 grade.

Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine recently described tight end as the Broncos’ biggest offensive need entering the offseason. The Broncos could explore the draft, but with the team holding the No. 30 overall pick, landing a top prospect may be difficult. That reality could push the team toward free agency.

If Goedert does reach the open market, he would likely become the most accomplished tight end available. His ability to line up in-line, move into the slot, and contribute in the run game gives him versatility that many offenses value.

For the Broncos, the potential pairing is intriguing. Adding a proven veteran like Goedert could give Nix a reliable middle-of-the-field target while also helping stabilize the Broncos’ offensive structure.

Free agency will ultimately determine whether that possibility becomes reality. But if the Broncos wants an experienced solution to its tight end problem, Goedert could quickly become one of the most closely monitored names on the market.
