Bill Belichick once dominated the headlines for his incredible feats of coaching excellence, winning Super Bowl after Super Bowl with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. However, Brady and Belichick had an ugly breakup, and they both eventually moved on from Foxboro.
Now, there is a new love in Belichick’s life, and once again, the happy couple is making a lot of headlines. Unfortunately, they just aren’t all football-related.
Bill Belichick Tries To Shift the Spotlight off Jordan Hudson to Football
Belichick, who recently turned 73, is the new head coach at the University of North Carolina. He has been growing increasingly more serious with his girlfriend, 24-year-old Jordan Hudson, since the two began dating in 2023.
The topic is one the media will not leave alone, but makes Belichick, who is already an awkward interview, even more uncomfortable. Hudson seems to have taken over all aspects of Belichick’s life, from his personal brand to his new book, “The Art of Winning.”
It is therefore no surprise that her name came up during a recent press conference. In a video posted by WRAL, Belichick is seen sporting his new Tar Heel gear. The fact that it wasn’t a sweatshirt with the sleeves cut out makes one believe the young model is also involved in selecting his wardrobe.
Belichick continued to try to shift the focus away from Hudson.
“It is what it is,” he said. “Look, I’m really focused on doing my job here at North Carolina… that’s my big focus.”
When asked about the biggest misconception about him, amid the public interest in his personal life, Belichick said he tries to block all of that out.
“Is there noise out there? We’ve always dealt with that,” Belichick said. “Really, our job is to build a football team and… help build the team and also build their individual careers. So that’s really where we’re at.”
“Again, on some of the noise that’s out there and the book [“The Art of Winning”] and stuff like that, it is what it is,” he responded. “That’s a personal venture I entered into when I wasn’t in coaching last year.”
Belichick also addressed a rumor surrounding Hudson and her direct involvement with the football team. The legendary coach confirmed that Hudson won’t be on the sidelines during games and won’t have any role in the UNC football program.
While Belichick might want to make the focus on football, everyone else remains fascinated by this May-September relationship. There is curiosity about how it will, or won’t, interfere with this new coaching gig. There are also concerns that Hudson might be manipulating or using Belichick to promote her own agenda.

Some of Beliechik’s former players, like quarterback Cam Newton, have even gone on record saying that the old ball coach should be dating someone his own age.
Belichick has never seemed to care much about what the public thinks and is unlikely to start now. However, all eyes will be on Chapel Hill to see how he transitions to college and just how visible Hudson is.
