Andrew Luck shocked the football world on Aug. 24, 2019, when he announced his retirement from the NFL. The then 29-year-old had to listen to boos from the Indianapolis Colts faithful, who received the news in the middle of a preseason game.
What Is Andrew Luck Doing Now?
Time heals all, right? Colts fans have seemingly forgiven the four-time Pro Bowler, and Luck appears to be in great spirits as well.
Luck’s decision to end his career early was due to nagging injuries. Between a shoulder tear, a lingering calf strain, and a handful of others, Luck believed putting football behind him was best for his life.
What does Luck do now? He’s back living in the Bay Area. Before his retirement, Luck married longtime girlfriend Nicole Pechanec, and he’s a full-time dad to their two daughters.

Back in 2022, former Stanford head coach David Shaw told Rich Eisen on his show that Luck was pursuing a Masters of Arts in Education back at Stanford. Luck enjoyed history and the aspects of how things functioned, he truly loved being at Stanford for that.
Though Luck’s career was short for a player of his magnitude, he made plenty of money from the NFL.

According to Spotrac, Luck made $109,107,988 during his career with the Colts. The first-overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft earned a $14,518,544 signing bonus, the majority of his earnings on his rookie deal.

When Luck retired, the Colts could’ve asked for money back. However, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Indianapolis decided not to recoup the $24.8 million they potentially could’ve received from Luck. Maybe it was compensation for the lack of offensive line talent during his time in Indy.

Luck’s net worth is reportedly in the range of $40-$45 million. Most of his wealth came from his contracts.
He is a very private person and doesn’t spend any time on social media. However, Luck has been in plenty of commercials despite his privacy, as his unique personality made him very funny. His series of appearances for NFL Sunday Ticket were some of football fans’ favorites.

Truthfully, Luck could probably go get any job he wanted with his intelligence and his architectural design degree from Stanford, and up his net worth. His perspective on life has brought him to his happiest, and he appears to be doing just fine where he is now.
