Philadelphia Eagles receiver A.J. Brown has never held back when he feels a certain way. Still, after such an incredible stretch of success for himself and the team, it is curious that he wouldn’t do everything he can to work these issues out internally to keep the band together before airing anything out.
We don’t know the depth of it, so we can’t fully blame Brown for his frustration. But as he expresses his frustration, the possibility of a trade has emerged. Let’s explore potential destinations for the three-time Pro Bowler if the Eagles choose to move on from him.
Top Trade Destinations for Philadelphia Eagles Star A.J. Brown
New England Patriots
The New England Patriots are among the teams people think are the top landing spots for a star receiver. They rank seventh in the NFL in passing, averaging 235 yards per game. Meanwhile, their leading receiver is Stefon Diggs. With just 5.5 looks per game, Diggs is tied for the fewest targets of any top leading target-getter.
Adding a dynamic, big-body receiver like Brown would allow this offense to take this strong passing game to the next level and make them a real force for years to come, as Brown is under contract through 2029.
Los Angeles Chargers
As good as Justin Herbert has been in his career, he has never had a playmaker like Brown. Keenan Allen has been great for him and is now in his second stint with the team. The emergence of Quentin Johnston has been a boost, too. On top of this, this team passes the ball the most in the NFL, by a decent margin.
Receiver is no longer a weakness, but doubling down on the unit to make it a strength could be helpful in the AFC arms race.
Adding another veteran to this otherwise young wide receiver room would not only make them more respected but also cause the defenses to protect against a number of new possibilities on offense that they are already struggling to contain.
The Chargers are 3-1, albeit coming off a surprising loss against the 0-3 New York Giants. They could be looking to add to their roster before the Kansas City Chiefs get going to ensure they stay in front in the division.
Buffalo Bills
Speaking of teams with young pass catchers, the Buffalo Bills could use someone like Brown to bring a championship prowess to a young offensive core of Khalil Shakir, Dalton Kincaid, James Cook, and Keon Coleman.
They have been struggling to take that next step to get to the Super Bowl, and getting a big-time player who has done it on the biggest stage could go a long way towards getting them there.

Plus, it is always nice to welcome in a new stadium with an electric offense that gets the crowd going. They are good now, but this would take them to a new level.
Indianapolis Colts
The first-place Indianapolis Colts look legitimate, partly due to a strong passing offense. They are one of the four teams in the NFL with over 1,000 passing yards, and they have done this with the 23rd-most attempts.
With Daniel Jones at the helm, nobody knew what to expect, but they knew what they were doing when they signed him, as he is in MVP discussions for the first time in his career.
Bringing in Brown would give them their best receiver since Reggie Wayne. Adding a player of that caliber to a team already flying high, boasting the No. 3-ranked offense by PFSN’s Offense Impact metric, will make them even stronger contenders.

We love it when you use our PFSN tools to create your power rankings. This X user and I think alike about the current league landscape. Nobody had Indianapolis as the top team in the AFC South entering the year. But that’s why they play the games, and it’s why the Colts should capitalize on their early-season momentum.
