What Is Aaron Rodgers’ Record vs. Bears? A Look at 4-Time NFL MVP’s Dominance Ahead of Week 12 Matchup

Aaron Rodgers has dominated the Bears during his NFL career as he prepares to face them for the 30th time in Week 12 with the Steelers.

Aaron Rodgers almost got to face off against a familiar foe in Week 12 of the 2025 NFL season. It was announced Sunday morning that he is not going to play through his wrist injury, and Mason Rudolph will start. If he had played, it would have been his 30th career game against the Chicago Bears. Most of them came with the Green Bay Packers, but this time, he is a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

How has Aaron Rodgers Performed Against the Bears?

Rodgers had plenty of opportunities to face off against the Bears during his career with the Packers. The NFC North divisional rivals would meet twice during every regular season, so the superstar quarterback accumulated 29 starts against them.

He has absolutely dominated his former rivals with an incredible 24-5 record in those games. It all started back in 2008 when he beat them in his first attempt and never looked back through the 2022 season.

His dominance goes beyond just an impressive record as his personal statistics in the series have also been elite. The veteran has made efficiency his signature during his legendary career and his numbers against the Bears are a prime example of this.

This includes a 109 passer rating with 64 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions across his 29 games in this series. This goes along with his 6,965 passing yards against them, which is the most he has in his career against any NFL team.

The catch with this particular matchup, his 30th against the Bears, is that he will face them for the first time not as a member of the Packers. He is in his first season with the Steelers and had never faced Chicago in his two years with the New York Jets.

Rodgers is currently dealing with a wrist injury on his non-throwing hand. He was currently listed as questionable on the official Week 12 injury report. On Sunday morning, the team announced that Rodgers was inactive.

While the personal history between Rodgers and the Bears is intriguing, what’s more important is the Steelers’ pursuit of a victory this week. They have just a one-game lead at the top of the AFC North division above the surging Baltimore Ravens, who have won each of their past four games.

Rodgers has struggled this year, including ranking just 27th among all quarterbacks in PFSN’s Impact Rankings, but he still theoretically gave them a better shot to win. Rudolph has yet to make a start this season and ranked 28th last year.
