Few NFL fans need an introduction to Adam Vinatieri. Over a remarkable 24-year career, the legendary kicker built a resume that few players at his position can match. Now, Vinatieri has officially been enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026 in Canton, Ohio.
While his career achievements are familiar to NFL fans, his personal life has stayed much quieter.
Who is Adam Vinatieri’s Wife, Valeri?
Adam married Valeri in 2001, and the two have largely kept their personal lives away from the spotlight.
Unlike many famous athletes, Vinatieri has not had a widely reported dating history outside his marriage.
Valeri rarely stepped into the public eye during Vinatieri’s 24 seasons in the NFL. Reports state that she worked as a Miami Dolphins cheerleader when the two first met during a New England Patriots trip to South Beach.
Their meeting eventually turned into a long-term relationship, with the couple choosing to keep most details of their marriage and family life out of public view.
Vinatieri has also credited Valeri with playing a major role behind the scenes. He described his wife as the backbone of his career, while she managed their household and raised their three children.
Vinatieri credits his wife for “holding it all down without me.’’ “She’s unbelievable,” Vinatieri said during the HOF ceremony.

Adam and Valeri have three children: A.J., Allison, and Gabriel Vinatieri.
Their oldest son, A.J., followed his father into football and developed as both a punter and kicker at Zionsville High School. He initially committed to UMass before spending time at Ball State University.
Eventually, A.J. continued his college career with the Lindenwood Lions Football Team, keeping the family’s connection to football alive.

Meanwhile, Allison took a different professional path. Vinatieri’s only daughter studied finance and accounting at Purdue University before moving into the financial industry as a financial advisor.
Gabriel, the youngest of the three, has taken another route by staying largely out of the spotlight.
In their upbringing, both Adam and Valeri are mindfully balancing their parenting life.
“Football’s been my No. 1 priority for the majority of my life,’’ Vinatieri said. “I always sit there and say, ‘Family first, but football is a damn close second.’ No disrespect to football, but you’ve got to be a good father and a good husband to make everything work.’’
Right now, it’s a happy mood in the Vinatieri household. Following his Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinement, the Indianapolis Colts will also honor Vinatieri by inducting him into the franchise’s Ring of Honor on October 18, 2026.
