The WNBA season will not be escaping any Caitlin Clark controversy anytime soon. The Indiana Fever star continues to take extreme physical punishment from opponents, including questionable plays in matchups against the Phoenix Mercury that forced her out of the game.
While fans and media debate whether a coordinated agenda exists to target the 24-year-old guard, one WNBA analyst questioned Clark’s snub during the recent voting cycle.
Linda Cohn Sounds Off on WNBA Players’ Caitlin Clark Disrespect
The recent WNBA All-Star voting results revealed a staggering disconnect between the public and the players. Fans placed Clark second overall in the voting pool, trailing only Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers, while the media panel ranked her third among all guards.
However, Clark’s peers, who control 25% of the weighted formula, ranked her 11th in her position.
Just days after retiring from a historic 34-year career, Cohn tore into the players for their refusal to acknowledge Clark’s dominance.
“Congratulations to Caitlin Clark. Three straight years named and voted an All-Star game starter,” Cohn said.

“Second most votes by the fans for Clark. The media, third most votes. What about the players in the WNBA? How do they feel about Caitlin Clark and how she is as a guard? Well, they ranked her 11th best.”
Cohn slammed the spite in the voting process, pointing out the financial boom the league is currently enjoying thanks to Clark.
“Her numbers and all the other votes got her in as a starter despite that stupidity by many WNBA players,” Cohn fired off.
“Unbelievable. Use your brains. Caitlin is putting up over 21 points a game so far this year. Over eight assists a game. Not many players rank in the top five with those kinds of numbers. Why do WNBA players continue to bite the hand that feeds them?”

As far as Cohn’s argument for Clark’s All-Star voting snub is concerned, the statistics completely check out. The Eastern Conference Player of the Month for June is averaging 21.2 points, 8.2 assists, and 4.0 rebounds across 17 games.
The league is putting out a phenomenal product loaded with elite talent from top to bottom.
And during all this, the refusal to give Clark proper recognition looks increasingly petty with each passing week.
