When all game plans fell apart under intense pressure moments, the 2024 Rookie of the Year held her nerve to close the match. With the game clock ticking away, Clark delivered a clutch three-pointer to rescue the Indiana Fever from a late-game collapse against the Washington Mystics.

With only 4.3 seconds remaining on the clock, the Fever were trailing by one point and needed some magic. The stage was set, the stakes were high, and the Fever’s superstar delivered.

After receiving an inbound pass from Sophie Cunningham, Clark didn’t hesitate and launched a deep, signature 3-pointer that silenced the D.C. crowd.

Reacting to the spectacular game-winner moment, veteran guard Sophie Cunningham kept it completely real and expressed the emotional rollercoaster in just four words.

“stressin me tf out,” tweeted Cunningham.

Well, the stress was entirely justified. The Fever built momentum in the first half and led 43-29 at halftime. The cushion grew to 17 points in the third quarter, but they couldn’t sustain the lead and squandered it.

The Mystics slowly and steadily chipped away at the deficit and caught the Fever in a stunning 76-75 turnaround in the final seconds before Clark intervened with her long-range deep 3-pointer to seal the deal.

The 24-year-old finished as the game’s top scorer, putting up 19 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds. She shot 7-of-16 from the field, including 4-of-10 from beyond the arc, and went 1-of-3 from the charity stripe.

In the last five games, this was the Fever’s second victory as they continue to find their rhythm and work toward cementing their postseason positioning. While the victory was a nail-biter, it was a crucial bounce-back win after Saturday night’s 83-75 loss against the Liberty.
