Well, the stress was entirely justified. The Fever built momentum in the first half and led 43-29 at halftime. The cushion grew to 17 points in the third quarter, but they couldn’t sustain the lead and squandered it.
The Mystics slowly and steadily chipped away at the deficit and caught the Fever in a stunning 76-75 turnaround in the final seconds before Clark intervened with her long-range deep 3-pointer to seal the deal.
The 24-year-old finished as the game’s top scorer, putting up 19 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds. She shot 7-of-16 from the field, including 4-of-10 from beyond the arc, and went 1-of-3 from the charity stripe.
Kelsey Mitchell dropped 15 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 block while shooting 6-of-14 from the floor.
Aliyah Boston led a successful rebounding night with 10 rebounds, 14 points, and 3 assists, and went 4-of-7 from the field and 6-of-7 from the free-throw line.
In the last five games, this was the Fever’s second victory as they continue to find their rhythm and work toward cementing their postseason positioning. While the victory was a nail-biter, it was a crucial bounce-back win after Saturday night’s 83-75 loss against the Liberty.
The Fever will return home to host the Chicago Sky (4-7) for their next clash on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
