However, according to a veteran sports radio host, this entire saga could culminate in a blockbuster trade that sends the superstar quarterback, along with his best receiver, Ja’Marr Chase, to a new location together.
Joe Burrow Could Get Traded With Ja’Marr Chase
The frustration around the Bengals has been festering for quite some time now. After a trip to the Super Bowl and the AFC Championship Game in consecutive years, the team hasn’t made it to the playoffs in three straight seasons.
This year, Burrow rushed back from a turf toe injury to give his team a chance to clinch a postseason berth. However, after a devastating loss to the Buffalo Bills, a disappointed version of the superstar quarterback came out at the podium.
The newly turned 29-year-old quarterback said that if he wants to keep playing football, he needs to enjoy it again, explaining, “I’ve been through a lot. If it’s not fun, then what am I doing it for?”
With images of Andrew Luck coming to mind, many were left wondering if his frustration stemmed from football as a whole or the lack of success in Cincinnati. Since then, he was shut out by the Baltimore Ravens in Week 15, before blowing out the Miami Dolphins the following week.
But at 5-10, they have lost any hope of remaining in the playoff race. As a result, Andrew Fillipponi of the Pittsburgh radio network believes some significant changes are about to come for the LSU alum.
Writing about it on X, he explored the wild scenario by stating, “My insane prediction: Burrow and Chase get traded to the Saints for the biggest draft haul in NFL history this offseason.”

The infrastructure is there in New Orleans for a competitive basketball team. Since Tyler Shough assumed responsibility for the quarterback position, they have gone on a three-game winning streak despite a lack of proven options on the roster.
Swapping the second-round rookie with one of the best quarterbacks in the game currently, and the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history, while keeping the rest of the structure as it is, could be all that the Saints franchise needs to become a serious threat in the league again.
