A Relaxed Glimpse Into Leylah Fernandez’s Time Away From Matches

Offseason periods often allow players to reset both mentally and physically after months of travel and high-pressure matches. Fernandez has become known for letting fans in on those quieter moments, whether through training clips, candid reflections, or humorous posts that showcase her personality away from match play.

In the short clip, Fernandez stood on the practice court explaining how to hit a forehand, confidently motioning through the basics as her team gathered beside her. As they attempted to mirror her movements, she suddenly broke character, shifting from tennis instruction to a playful dance that immediately caught everyone off guard.

Laughter echoed across the court as the team realized the lesson was more joke than drill. Fernandez leaned into the humor, later poking fun at herself with the caption, “Probably best I’m not a tennis coach 💃🏽😝.”
