Aaron Rodgers signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers on June 6, 2025, and appears to fit in well with his new teammates and coaching staff. He’s already building strong relationships, so much so that he recently predicted which two teammates he thinks will get into the first fight of Steelers training camp.
Aaron Rodgers Jokes About Which Steelers Teammates Will Fight First at Training Camp
Rodgers has been with the Steelers for less than two months, but he’s already stirring the pot. On “The Pat McAfee Show,” Rodgers was asked who he thinks would be involved if a fight breaks out at Steelers training camp.
Rodgers quickly threw two of his offensive linemen under the bus.
“If I’m a betting man, I’m saying either Zach Frazier or Mason McCormick will be involved in the first fight,” Rodgers said.

McAfee then asked Rodgers what Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin thinks about fights at training camp. Rodgers gave a hilarious response.
“He’s definitely not promoting fights,” Rodgers said. “It’s one of the rules: No Fighting, but if something starts, whoop his ass.”
It’s good to see Rodgers happy during his first couple of months with the Steelers. The 20-year NFL veteran has faced challenges over the last two seasons, and on “The Pat McAfee Show” back in June, indicated that the 2025-2026 season will be his last one in the league.
“I’m pretty sure this is my last season and that’s why we did the one year deal..
I’ve played twenty years and I’ve enjoyed it..
There’s no better way to finish it than with Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers” @AaronRodgers12 #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/hWN5veErEH

After tearing his Achilles in the first game with the New York Jets, Rodgers worked hard through a difficult recovery to be ready for the 2024-2025 season. However, 2024 didn’t go his way as the Jets finished 5-12. After a new coaching staff took over in New York, Rodgers was released and later signed with the Steelers.
The 2025-2026 season will be the one-time Super Bowl champion and four-time NFL MVP’s final chance to reach the Super Bowl. It’s clear he’s already enjoying his time in Pittsburgh more than he did in New York.
At 41 years old, Rodgers’ main goal is to enjoy the game. While his interview with McAfee may seem lighthearted, it shows he’s doing just that. The Steelers have had a strong roster over the past few seasons, but have struggled to find consistency at quarterback. If Rodgers can be the answer, the team could have a solid chance at making a playoff run.
