49ers Star Makes Feelings Clear About Shedeur Sanders, Browns Ahead of Week 13 Matchup

A San Francisco 49ers star spoke about Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders and the rest of the team prior to their Week 13 matchup.

Shedeur Sanders has another opportunity to prove himself in Week 13 against a formidable opponent.

The Cleveland Browns (3-8) are taking on the San Francisco 49ers (8-4). The Browns are fresh off a 14-point victory over Geno Smith and the Las Vegas Raiders, while the 49ers have won three of their last four matchups.

Sanders is faced with a tall task in his first home start for the Browns, and it’s clear the 49ers’ defense is looking to take over this game.

49ers Star Sends Blunt Message to Browns

The 49ers’ defense has been quite disappointing this season, as the unit ranks No. 27 in the league in PFSN’s metrics. Still, the stars of the defense, including cornerback Deommodore Lenoir, are fired up to take on such a new quarterback in Sanders, who is playing for a ‘losing team.’

NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe spoke with Lenoir ahead of the Week 13 matchup.

“Weather will not stop the buzz of Shedeur Sanders’ first home start,” Wolfe began. “He played in Colorado, he’s built for this. I want to talk about the 49ers side. Cornerback Deommodore Lenoir said ‘Look, Sanders, we know he is going to be the attention, but this a losing team. We plan to attack our keys, jump on them, and hopefully by halftime they’ll want to go inside and not want to play anymore.'”

This is Sanders’ second start and third appearance for the Browns. His debut start came against the Raiders, where he completed 11 of his 20 pass attempts for 209 passing yards, a passing touchdown, and an interception in the 24-10 victory. He clearly showed enough potential for the Browns to finally give him a shot as their starter.

The 49ers are by no means at full health but do have starting quarterback Brock Purdy back. While Purdy has been far from perfect since returning from injury, it’ll make for a fun quarterback matchup with Sanders, as both QBs were doubted since entering the league.
