3 Landing Spots for Top-12 Remaining NFL Free Agents: Where Will Stefon Diggs, Tyreek Hill, Others Sign?

Stefon Diggs, Jauan Jennings, Bobby Wagner, Tyreek Hill, and Aaron Rodgers are some of the top remaining NFL free agents. Where will they sign?

The 2026 NFL legal tampering period got underway almost exactly one month ago, and many free agents have found a new home and inked a contract; some have even reported to offseason workouts. However, there are a number of notable players who remain available.

The 2026 NFL Draft is just two weeks away, so teams may be waiting to see if they can address their biggest weaknesses via the draft. This means some of these free agents may have to continue waiting to find their next gig.

But it’s always fun to project potential signings, so PFSN identified the top three landing spots for each of these players based on team needs and how they’d fit within the organizations.

Stefon Diggs, WR

2025 Team: New England Patriots

Stefon Diggs got released by the New England Patriots a week before free agency, and he is still unsigned in April. There are certainly some red flags when it comes to Diggs, particularly off the field.

But on the field, Diggs is still playing at an extremely high level. He finished fourth in the NFL in PFSN’s WR Impact Score despite coming off a torn ACL, finishing the season with 85 catches for 1,013 yards and 4 touchdowns. He played a big role in Drake Maye’s MVP-runner-up campaign, yet the Patriots ultimately decided to move on and sign Romeo Doubs instead.

Potential Landing Spots: Commanders, Colts, Dolphins

Marshon Lattimore, CB

2025 Team: Washington Commanders

Injuries have been a recurring theme in Marshon Lattimore’s NFL career, which played a big role in why the Washington Commanders released him prior to the start of free agency. Over his last four seasons, he’s missed a combined 33 games.

That said, when Lattimore has been healthy, he’s played at a very high level. Before 2025, he had graded as a top-20 cornerback in the NFL by PFSN’s CB Impact Score in each of his previous four seasons. Even this past year, he finished as an average starter with a ranking at No. 36. He’s still just 29 years old and could be worth a flier for a CB-needy team.

Potential Landing Spots: Titans, Chiefs, Saints

Germaine Pratt, LB

2025 Team: Indianapolis Colts

Germaine Pratt had a very strange 2025. He started the year with the Cincinnati Bengals, but he requested a trade in February. Cincinnati released him in June, and the Las Vegas Raiders signed him the next day. However, he only played in four games with the Raiders before they also released him.

It wasn’t until he signed with the Indianapolis Colts two days later that Pratt bounced back to his true self. He ended the year with 126 total tackles between the two teams, while recording 10 pass deflections in coverage (tying for third among all NFL LBs). He also had a career-low 5.4% missed tackle percentage this past year.

Pratt was actually PFSN’s top-ranked free agent at linebacker after he ranked seventh in PFSN’s LB Impact Metric (LBi) this season. While teams clearly didn’t view him the same way after his up-and-down 2025 season, he now has a change to be one of the biggest steals in free agency if he can replicate his production with the Colts on a bargain deal.

Potential Landing Spots: Jets, Bengals, Buccaneers

Jadeveon Clowney, EDGE

2025 Team: Dallas Cowboys

Jadeveon Clowney is a pass-rush mercenary for hire, and he still does it at a high level. He’s played for seven teams over the last eight years, but he’s coming off an 8.5-sack season for the Dallas Cowboys and has reached that mark in three of his last five seasons.

Though Clowney missed a few games due to injury and stepped into more of a rotational role for Dallas, he ranked No. 15 in pass-rush win rate among edge rushers at 16.7%. He’ll likely sign onto another one-year deal, but he’s still a quality pass rusher entering Year 13 of his NFL career. He’s an attractive option for a contender looking for pass-rush help.

Potential Landing Spots: Patriots, Bears, Eagles

Jauan Jennings, WR

2025 Team: San Francisco 49ers

Jauan Jennings has watched as plenty of other WRs have signed new deals, but the 28-year-old remains on the market. There were reports that this was in part due to Jennings’ asking price from teams, which may have to come down before he finds a new home.

Last year, Jennings faced less competition for touches in the San Francisco 49ers’ passing attack, with Brandon Aiyuk out for the whole year and Deebo Samuel Sr. getting traded to the Washington Commanders. However, Jennings’ receiving yards dropped from 975 in 2024 to 643 in 2025. Still, Jennings recorded a career-high 9 receiving touchdowns this year, leading the 49ers.

He’s a 6-foot-3, sure-handed receiver who can block. It’s a bit surprising that Jennings is still unsigned, as he can definitely help a WR-needy team. And with Mike Evans and Christian Kirk landing in San Francisco, Jennings will likely get a fresh start on a new team.

Potential Landing Spots: Commanders, Dolphins, Titans

Aaron Rodgers, QB

2025 Team: Pittsburgh Steelers

Will Aaron Rodgers even play in 2026? That’s the big question. He flirted with retirement last offseason and indicated he was coming back for one last year, but then made some comments toward the end of the season that hinted he may not be done.

If Rodgers returns for 2026, he would turn 43 years old in the middle of the season, which would be his 22nd year in the NFL. There’s a good chance he would do so with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he’d reunite with his former Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy.

BE AN NFL GM: PFSN’s Ultimate GM Simulator

Rodgers ranked No. 29 in the NFL in QBi in 2025. He’s clearly no longer the MVP he used to be, but he still graded better than six other starting quarterbacks last year. As a stopgap option for a QB-needy team, you could certainly do worse.

Potential Landing Spots: Steelers, Cardinals, Retirement

Haason Reddick, EDGE

2025 Team: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Similar to the aforementioned Clowney, Haason Reddick has now entered pass-rushing mercenary territory, having played for five teams in the last six years. Unlike Clowney, his 2025 stats don’t jump off the page, as he totaled just 2.5 sacks and 34 pressures in 13 games with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Coming off of two disappointing seasons in a row, it’s unlikely that Reddick can return to the Pro Bowl form that turned heads in Philadelphia. That said, among the 123 edge rushers qualified for EDGEi scoring last season, he still ended the year above average, ranking No. 36 overall.

Potential Landing Spots: Patriots, Cowboys, Buccaneers

Deebo Samuel Sr., WR

2025 Team: Washington Commanders

After seven years with the 49ers, Deebo Samuel Sr. was traded to the Commanders in 2025. He wasn’t the bona fide WR1 he used to be, but he still improved his numbers compared to 2024, catching 72 passes for 727 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Statistically, Samuel’s best days are behind him. A creative offense can may still be able to weaponize him as a versatile Swiss Army knife with his backfield capabilities, making him a potential low-risk, high-reward type of receiver. (With that said, he rushed for just 75 yards and 1 touchdown last year).

Potential Landing Spots: Colts, Raiders, Dolphins

Tyreek Hill, WR

2025 Team: Miami Dolphins

Tyreek Hill is an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his illustrious career after the Miami Dolphins released him. At 32 years old with declining numbers, a serious injury, and off-field issues complicating how teams perceive him, he is a risky player to sign to a multi-year contract.

However, in the four games he played before getting hurt, Hill was on a 17-game pace for 1,127 receiving yards. In 2023, he was a first-team All-Pro and finished second in Offensive Player of the Year voting. A competing team could look to lure him on a one-year deal to see if he can get them over the hump.

Potential Landing Spots: Chiefs, Raiders, Titans

Joey Bosa, EDGE

2025 Team: Buffalo Bills

After nine seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers, Joey Bosa joined the Buffalo Bills in 2025, and produced at a high level. He led the NFL with 5 forced fumbles, recorded 5 sacks, and his 47 pressures marked the most he’s had in a single season since 2021.

Injuries and age are the big concerns with Bosa. He’s missed 25 games over the last four seasons, and he hasn’t completed a full season since 2017. That could lead some to think he’s a regression candidate, but after his 2025 campaign, he should still be treated as a high-end stopgap starter. There have been some rumblings that he may team up with his brother Nick on the 49ers, but it’s unclear if that will come to fruition.

Potential Landing Spots: Bills, 49ers, Commanders

Bobby Wagner, LB

2025 Team: Washington Commanders

Even in his 14th season in the NFL, Bobby Wagner continued to play at a high level. The active leader in tackles with exactly 2,000 over his career, Wagner finished fifth in the league with an 89.7 LBi score in 2025 for the Commanders. He had an impressive 162 tackles, 8 tackles for a loss, 4.5 sacks, and 2 interceptions.

Whenever Wagner becomes eligible, he’ll be a first-ballot Hall of Famer. He’s arguably the best linebacker of his generation. He’ll turn 36 years old before the 2026 season starts, so he’s not a long-term starting option. That said, if you need a stopgap linebacker, it’s hard to do better than him.

Potential Landing Spots: Commanders, Broncos, Colts

David Njoku, TE

2025 Team: Cleveland Browns

With rookie Harold Fannin Jr. exploding onto the scene for the Browns in 2025, David Njoku’s time with the team has come to an end. He acknowledged this in an Instagram post in February, thanking Cleveland fans for their support over the years and vowing that “the time for me to find a new home.”

It remains unclear where that will be, but Njoku has shown he can still be a productive tight end when targeted. Njoku was a Pro Bowler in 2023, and he’s scored 8 touchdowns over the last two seasons, despite missing 11 games in that span (which is perhaps his biggest red flag at this point). His 5.7% drop rate in 2025 was the second-lowest of his nine seasons in Cleveland, too.

At 29 years old, it’s certainly possible that he could have a strong bounce-back campaign with another team, especially if he can stay healthy.

Potential Landing Spots: Broncos, Titans, Panthers
