Arizona Cardinals 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 9.3-7.7
  • Playoff Probability: 51.5%
  • Divisional Probability: 11.1%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 2.0%

The Arizona Cardinals went 8-9 last season, and they shored up their defense with significant additions throughout the offseason. It makes sense to project them as a potential playoff team going into the 2025 NFL season.

Kyler Murray’s availability is key, as he missed 15 games between 2022 and 2023. If he stays healthy like he did last year, the Cardinals have an intriguing offense with a handful of impact starters. Their defense is much better on paper with additions like Josh Sweat, Walter Nolen, Will Johnson and Calais Campbell. They should compete in a tough NFC West.

Atlanta Falcons 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 8.5-8.5
  • Playoff Probability: 39.0%
  • Divisional Probability: 5.8%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 0.7%

Things started off hot for the Atlanta Falcons, but a 2-6 finish to 2024 saw them miss the playoffs and fall short of the .500 mark. The big change for them is Michael Penix Jr. taking over the starting quarterback job from Kirk Cousins, so a lot of their performance in 2025 will ride on his play.

The Falcons had one of the worst pass rushes in the NFL last year, so additions like Leonard Floyd, Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr. should be huge for their defense. Save for Cousins and center Drew Dalman, their offense is mostly the same as last year’s unit, which showed some serious efficiency when everything was clicking.

Baltimore Ravens 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 11.5-5.5
  • Playoff Probability: 91.8%
  • Divisional Probability: 46.3%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 16.1%

In the six seasons Lamar Jackson has been the primary starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, they’ve made the playoffs every year but one. As long as the two-time MVP and John Harbaugh are leading the charge, they’ll be in good shape. It doesn’t hurt that they have one of the most well-rounded rosters in the NFL.

Rather, the question remains if the Ravens can get over the hump and make the Super Bowl, let alone win it. The PFSN NFL Playoff Predictor gives them the best Super Bowl odds in the league going into 2025. Time will tell if those odds end up coming to fruition.

Buffalo Bills 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 11.7-5.3
  • Playoff Probability: 92.6%
  • Divisional Probability: 43.6%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 15.4%

Josh Allen broke into the peak of individual performance in 2024, winning the MVP for the first time in his career. However, the Buffalo Bills failed to remove the albatross that has been losing to the Chiefs in the postseason for most of the last few seasons.

The Bills have the best playoff probability of any team in the NFL, according to the PFSN NFL Playoff Predictor. They have a great coaching staff, an elite quarterback and key contributors on both sides of the ball. The overall defense will be key to winning the AFC, as they ranked just 18th in Defense+ in 2024.

Carolina Panthers 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 6.5-10.5
  • Playoff Probability: 10.4%
  • Divisional Probability: 0.8%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 0.0%

Having won five games or fewer in five of their last six seasons, the Carolina Panthers reaching either six or seven wins in 2025 would be a step up from previous seasons. There’s reason to be optimistic for growth after Bryce Young’s strong late-season play last year, as well as their heavy investment in their defensive line this offseason.

The Panthers don’t play in a difficult division, which could make them a sleeper team to make the postseason if Young continues to show growth entering Year 3 of his NFL career. They don’t feel like a complete enough team to crack the .500 mark yet, but stranger things have happened. Carolina should be a team on the rise in 2025.

Chicago Bears 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 8.6-8.4
  • Playoff Probability: 37.3%
  • Divisional Probability: 7.4%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 1.1%

The Chicago Bears have surpassed the .500 mark just once since 2013, making this an optimistic prediction. However, there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic. Ben Johnson is now their head coach, the offensive line improved considerably this offseason, and Caleb Williams has a deep group of weapons to throw to in his second year in the NFL.

Playing in a difficult NFC North will make things tough for the Bears to appear in the postseason. That said, they went 5-12 and lost a handful of games due to terrible coaching decisions. They have a different coaching staff in place, and their roster is much better on paper than last year. Don’t be shocked if they improve their record by a few wins in 2025.

Cincinnati Bengals 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 9.6-7.4
  • Playoff Probability: 65.3%
  • Divisional Probability: 17.7%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 3.8%

The Cincinnati Bengals executed on their biggest task this offseason, signing Tee Higgins to a contract extension. With him, Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase all under contract for the long run, their offense should continue to be a formidable unit for the foreseeable future.

Their offense alone will keep them in playoff contention, but the Bengals’ defense could be what holds them out of it. The unit isn’t much different from the lackluster group they had last year, and star pass rusher Trey Hendrickson is holding out for a new contract. Whether or not Cincinnati makes the postseason will depend on the play of its defense.

Cleveland Browns 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 5.2-11.8
  • Playoff Probability: 3.3%
  • Divisional Probability: 0.1%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 0.0%

Last year ended with the Cleveland Browns sitting in the basement of the AFC North. Without significant improvements over the offseason and a major question mark at quarterback, it would be a surprise if the 2025 season ended any differently.

Jim Schwartz is one of the better defensive coordinators in the NFL, and Myles Garrett remains one of the most valuable players in football at any position. That said, there isn’t enough star power on the Browns’ roster to compete with the top teams in the AFC. A playoff appearance would be a massive surprise.

Dallas Cowboys 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 7.1-9.9
  • Playoff Probability: 14.7%
  • Divisional Probability: 1.7%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 0.1%

After three consecutive seasons at 12-5, the Dallas Cowboys fell to 7-10 in 2024, firing Mike McCarthy as their head coach as a corresponding move. Brian Schottenheimer takes the reins now, and it seems the PFSN NFL Playoff Predictor thinks a performance similar to last year is more likely than a return to their winning ways.

Some questions on their defense remain, and playing the Eagles and Commanders twice each won’t do them any favors. However, the Cowboys have a talented offense led by Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. They should remain in the playoff hunt for a while, but whether or not they make the postseason depends on their defense and health.

Denver Broncos 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 9.8-7.2
  • Playoff Probability: 66.3%
  • Divisional Probability: 18.6%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 3.9%

There’s plenty of reason to be optimistic about the Denver Broncos. They had the best Defense+ rating in the NFL last year, and their unit arguably got better this offseason. They added Dre Greenlaw, Talanoa Hufanga and Jahdae Barron to a group that already includes the likes of Patrick Surtain II, Zach Allen, Jonathon Cooper and Nik Bonitto.

The offense showed much more life than many expected last year, too. The key for Denver will be the development of Bo Nix. He has a tremendous coach in Sean Payton, but his weapons outside of Courtland Sutton are questionable. If Nix can build upon a strong rookie year, the Broncos should return to the postseason this year.

Detroit Lions 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 10.5-6.5
  • Playoff Probability: 83.4%
  • Divisional Probability: 29.5%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 9.2%

It remains to be seen how the coaching staff turnover will affect the Detroit Lions in 2025. They had the best Offense+ rating in the NFL last year, as well as one of the best defenses in the game. However, both Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn left their coordinator roles for head coaching jobs elsewhere, taking many key assistants with them.

Still, the Lions should be considered the favorites in the NFC North. They have an explosive offense with elite weapons and one of the best offensive tackle duos in the NFL. Aidan Hutchinson returning from injury should be helpful for a defense with other elite players like Kerby Joseph and Brian Branch.

Green Bay Packers 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 9.6-7.4
  • Playoff Probability: 55.9%
  • Divisional Probability: 16.4%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 3.7%

Since becoming their head coach in 2019, Matt LaFleur has led the Green Bay Packers to the postseason five times in six seasons. That includes the last two years that Jordan Love has been their starting quarterback. The numbers favor another playoff appearance for them this year.

The Packers have a young, well-rounded roster that’s built to play tough down the stretch of the regular season. Playing in a difficult NFC North could make it tough for them to win their division, but a Wild Card appearance should be the expectation for Green Bay in Love’s third year as their starter.

Houston Texans 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 8.5-8.5
  • Playoff Probability: 54.0%
  • Divisional Probability: 7.0%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 0.9%

The Houston Texans are coming off consecutive 10-7 seasons, though 2024 wasn’t as encouraging as 2023. Their offense fell back down to Earth after CJ Stroud’s stellar rookie year turned into a good, but not great, sophomore campaign. Analytics predict another AFC South championship is likely, though their record may drop a little.

Going into 2025, the offense will be the key for the Texans. Their offensive line allowed the third-most sacks in the NFL last year, and they traded away their best lineman this offseason in Laremy Tunsil. They have enough pieces on both sides of the ball to win an easy division, but the puzzle doesn’t seem to complete just yet.

Indianapolis Colts 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 7.0-10.0
  • Playoff Probability: 25.4%
  • Divisional Probability: 1.6%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 0.1%

Whether it’s Anthony Richardson or Daniel Jones at quarterback this year, they’ll be tasked with getting the Indianapolis Colts into the playoffs. It’s an achievement they’ve flirted with each of the last two seasons, but Shane Steichen’s bunch just hasn’t been able to get over the hump.

Quarterback worries aside, the Colts have a strong run game, talented weapons in the passing game and a solid defense. In a QB-driven league, much will depend on how well they’re able to throw the ball in 2025. Indianapolis should be in the playoff hunt deep into the regular season, but a postseason appearance likely rides on their passing attack.

Jacksonville Jaguars 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 7.2-9.8
  • Playoff Probability: 28.0%
  • Divisional Probability: 1.7%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 0.1%

The Jacksonville Jaguars surpassed the .500 mark in the first two seasons of Doug Pederson’s tenure as head coach. In 2024, however, they fell all the way down to 3-14. Liam Coen took over as the new head coach this offseason and looks to get them back on track.

This offseason saw Jacksonville make the big splash of trading up for Travis Hunter, who figures to see playing time at both wide receiver and cornerback. He gives Trevor Lawrence another top weapon to throw to alongside Brian Thomas Jr., but the run game and the defense as a whole leave reason to be concerned.

Kansas City Chiefs 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 10.5-6.5
  • Playoff Probability: 77.9%
  • Divisional Probability: 30.4%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 8.4%

Since Patrick Mahomes became their starting quarterback in 2018, the Kansas City Chiefs have made the AFC Championship every single year and have made five Super Bowl appearances, winning three of them. The Ravens and Bills both have higher playoff odds per the PFSN NFL Playoff Predictor, but Kansas City should be a virtual postseason lock.

A 16-1 season last year gives the Chiefs a high bar to reach this coming season. They have the core pieces in place on both sides of the ball, entering what may be Travis Kelce’s last season. Kansas City’s roster is well-coached and well-put together; they should be serious Super Bowl contenders again in 2025.

Las Vegas Raiders 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 7.4-9.6
  • Playoff Probability: 21.6%
  • Divisional Probability: 2.4%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 0.3%

Pete Carroll is the new man in charge for the Las Vegas Raiders, and he brings 18 seasons of NFL head coaching experience with him. His presence alone should make the Raiders better in 2025, though that isn’t a high bar after they went 4-13 last season.

Geno Smith projects as a massive quarterback upgrade, and the Raiders’ offense has pieces like Ashton Jeanty, Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers. The secondary is a major concern, and playing in the competitive AFC West won’t do them any favors. Las Vegas might not be a playoff team in 2025, but they should be better than last year.

Los Angeles Chargers 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 9.6-7.4
  • Playoff Probability: 62.3%
  • Divisional Probability: 15.8%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 2.8%

Year 1 of the Jim Harbaugh experiment was a success for the Los Angeles Chargers, as they went 11-6 in 2024 after finishing just 5-12 the previous year. Much of the same core returns this season, which indicates they should be a strong playoff contender again in 2025.

For all of his regular-season success, Justin Herbert remains winless in the postseason. He has a solid offensive line, but a breakout weapon besides Ladd McConkey would help their chances of improvement. Keep an eye on their young secondary, as well as defensive coordinator Jesse Minter, who’s one of the best defensive minds in the NFL.

Los Angeles Rams 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 10.6-6.4
  • Playoff Probability: 77.6%
  • Divisional Probability: 28.4%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 6.9%

The Los Angeles Rams went 10-7 last year, and they return much of the same core that got them to the Divisional round of the playoffs. Adding Davante Adams to the mix at wide receiver should just be icing on the cake.

A playoff appearance seems likely for the Rams, especially with Matthew Stafford still playing at a very high level. The NFC West remains tough to predict with a healthy 49ers team and an improved Cardinals squad in the way, but Los Angeles projects as the odds-on favorite in our Playoff Predictor.

Miami Dolphins 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 8.2-8.8
  • Playoff Probability: 36.1%
  • Divisional Probability: 5.0%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 0.7%

After going 11-6 in 2023, the Miami Dolphins fell back down to Earth last season by falling to 8-9 and missing the playoffs. With key contributors like Jevon Holland, Jalen Ramsey and Jonnu Smith gone from last year, it remains to be seen how they perform this coming year.

When healthy, Tua Tagovailoa can lead an explosive passing attack headlined by Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. The Dolphins’ pass rush has a fearsome trio off the edge in Jaelan Phillips, Bradley Chubb and Chop Robinson, as well as Zach Sieler up the middle. A worrisome cornerback group and health down the stretch remain Miami’s biggest obstacles.

Minnesota Vikings 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 8.6-8.4
  • Playoff Probability: 37.2%
  • Divisional Probability: 8.0%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 1.4%

It’s been a rollercoaster three seasons for the Minnesota Vikings under Kevin O’Connell. They went 13-4 in 2022, fell to 7-10 in 2023 and rebounded to 14-3 in 2024. Through those ups and downs, however, they have yet to win a playoff game.

The Vikings’ postseason chances lie in the hands of JJ McCarthy, who has a deep group of weapons and a sound coaching staff around him but is in just his first year as an NFL starting QB. Their pass rush is fearsome, but their secondary is questionable. In a brutal NFC North, how the Vikings end up performing in 2025 remains anyone’s guess.

New England Patriots 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 7.7-9.3
  • Playoff Probability: 26.6%
  • Divisional Probability: 2.5%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 0.2%

Going into 2025, the New England Patriots project as one of the most improved teams in the NFL. Hiring Mike Vrabel as their new head coach should go a long way, but additions like Will Campbell, Milton Williams, Stefon Diggs, Harold Landry, Carlton Davis and TreVeyon Henderson should also be extremely helpful.

Ultimately, a lot of how the Patriots perform hinges on Drake Maye’s development. He demonstrated encouraging flashes as a rookie, but are the offseason additions enough to elevate what was a bad roster a year ago? Winning the AFC East seems highly unlikely, but they could push for a Wild Card spot if all goes well.

New Orleans Saints 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 5.9-11.1
  • Playoff Probability: 5.9%
  • Divisional Probability: 0.2%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 0.0%

Late offseason retirements of Derek Carr and Tyrann Mathieu further depleted an already weak New Orleans Saints roster. Kellen Moore goes from being the offensive coordinator of the Super Bowl champions to the head coach of potentially the worst roster in the NFL.

The cupboard isn’t entirely bare. There’s star power through names like Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave, Erik McCoy and Demario Davis. However, the Saints’ quarterback concerns are compounded by incomplete units on both sides of the ball. They play a weak divisional schedule but shouldn’t be counted on to make the playoffs.

New York Giants 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 5.5-11.5
  • Playoff Probability: 3.6%
  • Divisional Probability: 0.2%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 0.0%

Brian Daboll remains the head coach of the New York Giants after an abysmal 3-14 season in 2024. While he feels like a lame duck coach in the waiting, they did improve their roster with additions like Abdul Carter, Paulson Adebo and Jevon Holland.

The Giants’ chances of improving in 2025 hinge on their quarterback play. Russell Wilson projects as their starter but is coming off a rocky year in Pittsburgh. Jameis Winston and Jaxson Dart sit behind him on the depth chart; could one of them take over as the starter by the time the season ends?

New York Jets 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 7.8-9.2
  • Playoff Probability: 27.8%
  • Divisional Probability: 3.3%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 0.3%

The New York Jets haven’t finished with a record above .500 since 2015. While our Playoff Predictor doesn’t see them reaching that mark in 2025, it does have them getting close now that Aaron Glenn is their new head coach.

There are building blocks on both sides of the ball of the Jets’ roster. Sauce Gardner, Quinnen Williams, Quincy Williams, Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall give them some star power. Much depends on the performance of Justin Fields as a quarterback, who has shown incredible flashes but lacked the consistency to stick as a franchise QB anywhere.

Philadelphia Eagles 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 10.2-6.8
  • Playoff Probability: 70.1%
  • Divisional Probability: 25.8%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 7.5%

After winning the Super Bowl last season, our Playoff Predictor gives the Philadelphia Eagles the fifth-best Super Bowl odds going into 2025. Their core remains in place, with Jalen Hurts complemented by elite weapons and one of the better offensive lines in the NFL.

The Eagles also have star power on defense, but their chances of repeating as champions likely depend on their pass rush. Josh Sweat, Brandon Graham and Bryce Huff are all no longer on the team, leaving Nolan Smith as the only proven starter Philadelphia has off the edge. Otherwise, they’re a complete team who should make noise in the playoffs again.

Pittsburgh Steelers 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 5.7-11.3
  • Playoff Probability: 5.6%
  • Divisional Probability: 0.4%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 0.1%

Through 18 seasons as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ head coach, Mike Tomlin has not finished with a losing record. According to the PFSN NFL Playoff Predictor, there’s a good chance that streak gets broken in 2025.

Granted, the Steelers were aggressive in upgrading their roster this offseason. Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Jonnu Smith, Jalen Ramsey and Darius Slay all stand out as big additions. Rodgers is a massive wild card, though, and their core is getting older. Pittsburgh can never be written off with Tomlin as their coach, but there’s a wide range of outcomes.

San Francisco 49ers 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 9.4-7.6
  • Playoff Probability: 53.3%
  • Divisional Probability: 11.3%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 1.7%

Last season, the San Francisco 49ers were plagued by major injuries to key contributors. Though players like Christian McCaffrey and Nick Bosa return healthy in 2025, they lost several contributors like Dre Greenlaw, Talanoa Hufanga, Deebo Samuel, Aaron Banks, Charvarius Ward and Leonard Floyd this offseason.

Barring a catastrophe, the 49ers won’t be bitten as hard by the injury bug this year. That said, their roster is worse on paper than it was going into last season, when they were just coming off a Super Bowl appearance. It’s a true toss-up whether or not San Francisco makes it into the postseason in 2025.

Seattle Seahawks 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 7.3-9.7
  • Playoff Probability: 16.9%
  • Divisional Probability: 1.6%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 0.1%

One thing’s for sure: the Seattle Seahawks went through a massive makeover this offseason. Whether or not it works remains to be seen. But as players like Geno Smith, DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Dre’Mont Jones leave, players like Sam Darnold, Cooper Kupp, DeMarcus Lawrence and Grey Zabel arrive.

The Seahawks went 10-7 last year but were the only double-digit win team to miss the playoffs. The PFSN NFL Playoff Predictor anticipates a step back for them. If Darnold can repeat his 2024 performance, a playoff appearance is possible. If he reverts to the norm of his career, however, it could be an ugly season for Seattle.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 10.5-6.5
  • Playoff Probability: 81.2%
  • Divisional Probability: 26.6%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 6.0%

Heading into 2025, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have the third-best odds to make the playoffs, according to PFSN’s NFL Playoff Predictor. Much of that factors in the weakness of the NFC South around them, but there’s reason to be optimistic about them this year.

Baker Mayfield is coming off the best season of his career, and the Buccaneers return most of their starters from last year. Haason Reddick and Emeka Egbuka join as expected upgrades to the pass rush and passing attack, respectively. Tampa Bay should be the favorites to win their division, but postseason success could be tough in a crowded NFC.

Tennessee Titans 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 6.3-10.7
  • Playoff Probability: 15.3%
  • Divisional Probability: 0.6%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 0.0%

As the worst team in the league in 2024, the Tennessee Titans shouldn’t be expected to do much in 2025. Rather, this season should serve as a proving ground for No. 1 pick Cam Ward to lay down a foundation for his future as the potential franchise quarterback going forward.

Additions like Dan Moore Jr. and Kevin Zeitler should help Tennessee’s offensive line. However, they lack premier weapons in the passing game and proven pass rushers outside of Jeffery Simmons. The Titans likely won’t make much noise in playoff circles this season, but they should be able to improve off a 3-14 campaign last year.

Washington Commanders 2025 Prediction

  • Projected Win-Loss Record: 10.3-6.7
  • Playoff Probability: 71.9%
  • Divisional Probability: 25.1%
  • Super Bowl Probability: 6.5%

No team surpassed expectations quite like the Washington Commanders in 2024. They went 4-13 the year before but shot all the way up to 12-5 in 2024, making it to the NFC Championship game in Dan Quinn’s first season as head coach and Jayden Daniels’ first season as their quarterback.

The Commanders got better on paper with additions like Laremy Tunsil and Deebo Samuel this offseason. One should assume Daniels retains his high level of play in Year 2. The pass rush could use some work, but overall, Washington has a good enough roster and coaching staff and project as a safe playoff bet again in 2025.
