A disappointing regular season led to a flurry of activity this offseason. Among them, one of the biggest moves involved parting ways with offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo. Now, stunning new details have left fans shocked about his tenure with the organization.

A veteran in coaching circles, Patullo began his time in the NFL as an offensive assistant in 2007. Since then, he’s been involved with a variety of organizations. Starting as a pass game coordinator for the Eagles in 2021, he eventually rose through the ranks.
However, at #23 in PFN’s Offense Impact Metrics, it was far from a strong suit for the team last year. The blame fell on Patullo, especially after they were at #9 the previous season.
Now, an eyebrow-raising story has given credence to his pitfalls. Jeff McLane of the Inquirer revealed, “Kevin Patullo ‘froze’ looking at the play sheet on 4th and 11 in the playoffs. Hurts suggested the play because nobody else did. Sirianni signed off. That was the season.”
As a result, it seemed pertinent for the Eagles to move on from him.

One fan joked, “Hurts already said he didn’t make the call. My boy came to the sideline with the pressure of winning a playoff game, looking for guidance, and was greeted with 2 [expletive] hyperventilating.”
The City of Brotherly Love has always had one of the most intriguing fan bases in the entire NFL. As supportive as they are, one fan joked, “Patullo is genuinely getting obliterated if he ever steps foot in Philly again.”

After his exit from the Eagles, Patullo was hired by the Miami Dolphins as the new passing game coordinator. With Malik Willis taking over the offense and the team entering a reset year, it will give the veteran of the coaching ranks a chance to improve his stock.
