‘Zach Wilson Can’t Be That Bad,’ ‘Put in Quinn Ewers’ — Dolphins Fans Want Tua Tagovailoa Benched After Disastrous TNF Outing

At some point, the Miami Dolphins need to take a step back and evaluate the state of their franchise. They seem destined to keep head coach Mike McDaniel even though he’s done nothing noteworthy in his last few seasons. After an embarrassing loss to the Baltimore Ravens, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa once again proved that he may not be the franchise quarterback the team thinks he is.

Calls Mount For Zach Wilson or Quinn Ewers To Start

Dolphins fans have seen enough, and rightfully so. Tagovailoa has completed just 67.9% of his passes this season, but has 15 touchdowns to 11 interceptions. He’s thrown for 1,779 yards, but has been sacked 18 times. Currently, he’s 19th with a C in PFSN’s QB Impact Metric. His TNF performance left a lot to be desired, and many fans in Miami no longer want him as their quarterback.

“Zach Wilson can’t be THAT bad,” one fan wrote. Another tagged the Miami Dolphins account as they said, “Zach Wilson, for the Love of God.” For what it’s worth, Wilson hasn’t started a game in the NFL since the end of 2023. He rode the bench all of last season and has completed only six of nine attempted passes for 32 yards here in 2025.

If the Dolphins decide Wilson isn’t ready, they have rookie QB Quinn Ewers on their team. Ewers made his NFL debut on October 19 when he completed five of eight passes for 53 yards against the Cleveland Browns.

“Play Quinn Ewers you cowards,” this fan said. Someone else chimed in, “Quinn Ewers. Your time is NOW,” as it’s clear Dolphins fans are running out of patience. Knowing the trade deadline is looming and the team sits at 2-7, these fans’ reactions are completely justified.

“Tua your time is up. Put in Quinn Ewers,” one fan begged. Their social media post may not be noticed by the Dolphins front office, but it’s one of many that are asking for Tua to be benched. “Tua needs to be on the bench. Period. End of story.”

Another fan wrote, “You let us all down Tua we want you gone, ask Mike to bench you so we can see Wilson or Ewers play, couldn’t be worse than what you have shown us.” Throughout all of the injuries in his career, Miami has relied on Tagovailoa to guide them to the promised land. Ultimately, that just hasn’t happened.

A few more fans chimed in, “Bench Tua for good this time and put in Zach Wilson,” and “WE WANT ZACH WILSON.”

The Dolphins will look to regroup as they get a few extra days of rest before taking on the red-hot Buffalo Bills on November 9. After that game, they head to Madrid to take on the Washington Commanders before enjoying their Week 12 Bye.
