This leaves her just 21 points away from breaking Caitlin Clark’s all-time WNBA rookie scoring mark of 769. But while she’s only a step away from making and breaking history, hoops fans remain deeply divided over her pursuit.

She needs to average just 5.3 points per game, down from her current 19.7 PPG, to claim the record.

But while the numbers look impressive on paper, WNBA fans took to social media to question the length of the schedule and argue that these extra games are unfair to Clark, who played only 40 regular-season games.
One fan emphasized, “They are past the 40 games, which was the number they played during Clark’s campaign. These records are all a bit silly.”
Echoing the same sentiments, another fan wrote, “Bruh, Clark did that in 40 games.”

Miles delivered a team-high 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 steal against Atlanta in under 30 minutes, shooting 50.0% (7-of-14) from the field, 33.3% (1-of-3) from beyond the arc, and 85.7% (6-of-7) from the free-throw line.
Yet, her stat sheet showed a rare zero in the assist column, despite averaging 6.2 assists per game this season.

“If CC scored 21 pts and zero assists, they would call her selfish or ball hog lmao,” wrote another user, highlighting the treatment difference and the heavy media scrutiny around the Fever’s superstar guard.
Highlighting the Lynx’s 2026 championship roster, one observer tweeted, “I like Olivia Miles, but she is getting too much hype. To say she is the reason why Lynx is the #1 seed is not true. While the external voices might not align with the whole idea of breaking a record with extra games, Olivia Miles is indeed wrapping up an undeniable rookie campaign.
