The 2025 WNBA season began with uncertainty for the Minnesota Lynx, as their preseason opener on May 6 ended in a (74–69) loss to the Chicago Sky. It was a performance marked by rust and missed opportunities. But since that stumble, the Lynx have looked like a completely different team.
They got immediate revenge on May 10, edging out the Sky (92–87) in a statement win. Then came the regular season, and the Lynx kept things rolling. They opened with two decisive wins—one over the Dallas Wings and another against the Los Angeles Sparks. With a 2-0 start, Minnesota fans have plenty to cheer about.
Now, let’s take a closer look at Lynx’s 2025 depth chart and how each piece contributes to its early success.

Other Important Players of the Minnesota Lynx
The Lynx wouldn’t be the same without superstar Napheesa Collier. Last season, she helped lead Minnesota to the WNBA Finals against the New York Liberty. She averaged 20.4 points and 9.7 rebounds per game during the regular season.
Moreover, this year, she has taken her game to another level, already averaging 28.5 points per game, showcasing her dominance on both ends of the court.
But we must not forget that while Collier is the face of the team, Courtney Williams is another vital piece of the Lynx puzzle.
Known for her high basketball IQ and court vision, Williams brings balance and energy to the lineup. Currently averaging 19.0 points and 9.5 assists per game, Williams is proving to be one of the best two-way guards in the league.
Her chemistry with Collier and leadership on the floor allow the Lynx to play with pace and versatility. As the season progresses, the duo of Collier and Williams could be the key to another deep playoff run.
