Stephanie White was hired as the Indiana Fever’s head coach back in November 2024. This transition marked the start of a new era for the franchise. She’s continued to lead the team to success since taking over.
On the court, she is the face of the Fever, but her personal life remains quieter. Nonetheless, nearly every aspect of her life revolves around sports, including her longtime relationship with celebrated ESPN journalist Lisa Salters.
Inside Stephanie White’s Relationship With Lisa Salters
While it’s unclear exactly when the pair made their relationship official, they’ve been publicly committed since 2016. Now, having spent over a decade together, White and Salters appear as cemented as ever.
Both women are deeply involved in professional sports, with White coaching Indiana and Salters logging nearly three decades of sports reporting experience under her belt. According to ESPN Press Room, Salters commenced her ESPN career back in March 2000, when she was hired as a general assignment reporter.
As for White, during that period, she was playing professional basketball for the Fever. The year before, in 1999, she was a rookie with the Charlotte Sting.
Salters balances her work life with motherhood, as she’s a mother to Samuel Salters, who is now a teenager. Adding to the perfectly blended family are White’s three children, Landon, Aiden, and Avery.
Any mother navigating professional life and parenthood can attest to the obstacles that present themselves, but this duo doesn’t shy away from challenges. For years, they’ve been tackling each obstacle together.
While Salters continues embarking on her journalism career, White is in the midst of the Fever’s 2026 campaign. Once the chaos settled during the offseason, the pair shares a home in Nashville, Tenn.
At the time of this writing, Indiana is riding an overall record of 25-14, sitting fifth behind Atlanta Dream (24-13).
Las Vegas Aces (26-13), the Golden State Valkyries (25-11), and the Minnesota Lynx (31-7) claim the top three spots in the standings.
Following Sunday’s win against the Chicago Sky at Wintrust Arena, the Fever will return home to Gainbridge Fieldhouse to host the Connecticut Sun on Friday, August 28, at 7:30 p.m. ET.
