‘She Can’t Help It’ – Fever Star Aliyah Boston Reveals What Caitlin Clark Is Really Like Behind the Scenes

Fever star Aliyah Boston has opened up about Caitlin Clark’s personality off the court. Find out what she has said.

“So proud of you,” Caitlin Clark recently wrote under Aliyah Boston’s Instagram post. It was a short but powerful comment that had Fever fans buzzing. The two rising WNBA stars have built a strong bond both on and off the court, and their friendship has become one of the most talked-about storylines of Indiana’s season.

Boston, who is currently averaging 15.2 points per game while leading the Fever to a (21-20) record, is determined to secure a playoff spot. But now, she’s given fans a rare glimpse of what Clark is really like when the cameras aren’t rolling.

What Was Aliyah Boston’s Message Regarding Caitlin Clark?

In the latest episode of “Post Moves with Candace Parker & Aliyah Boston” podcast, co-host Candace Parker put Boston on the spot by recalling two memorable moments involving her and Clark. The first incident occurred during a game, when Boston was seen pulling Clark back as she appeared ready to confront a referee.

After Parker recalled the first incident, Boston laughed and said about Clark, “She’s a troll… Like, look at her, she can’t help it… she is actually the biggest troll. I think it’s funny.”

The second moment that Parker recalled was from the “Stud Budz’s” viral 72-hour Twitch livestream, when Boston snagged a drink away from Clark midstream. After the former WNBA player finished, both hosts of the podcast ended up laughing.

The synergy between Boston and Clark has been quite evident this season. Beyond highlight plays and clutch performances, the two have developed a routine that fans adore. It is their pregame hug.

In a previous episode of the same podcast, Boston described Clark’s pre-game hug as something that genuinely elevates her confidence and mental preparation before taking the court.

“I mean, it really just started one game where we gave each other a hug, and she was like, ‘You’re going to be amazing because you are amazing.’ I said it back, and we’ve just done it every game.”

“Even though she’s been out for a while, I make sure I get my pregame hug. I think it’s just nice to give that confidence to each other before every game, and we’ve continued to do that,” said Boston during a previous episode of the podcast.

While the friendship remains strong, Clark’s season has been far from easy. The guard has missed significant time due to injuries and has sat out a total of 28 games, including the 2025 Commissioner’s Cup, which Indiana managed to win against the Minnesota Lynx. Before her current injury setback, Clark was averaging 16.5 points, 8.8 assists and five rebounds per game.

According to Chloe Peterson of the “IndyStar”, Fever head coach Stephanie White recently gave a hopeful update, noting that Clark is still doing non-contact practices and is expected to be back before the regular season ends.

“That’s the hope. She’s working as hard as she can to make sure that she is coming back or is capable of coming back. I think that the long-term viewpoint of her health and wellness is the most important thing,” said White during the interview.

For now, the Fever continue to push forward with Boston leading the charge. Their next matchup is set for September 5 against the Chicago Sky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
