Caitlin Clark remains a divisive figure in the WNBA. Now, one of her Indiana Fever teammates is calling out Clark’s fans for being negative and believing made-up narratives about the franchise and its biggest superstar.
Tyasha Harris, who joined the Fever earlier this year, also refuted claims of discontent in the team’s locker room.
Caitlin Clark’s Fever Teammate Calls Out Fans for Believing False Narratives
Harris took aim at fans on social media after seeing criticism of her performance against the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday. The 5-foot-10 guard was limited to just 4 points and shot 0-of-4 from the field during the 84-68 win. After a Clark fan wrote a (now-deleted) message to her, Harris responded.
“Y’all be praying on people downfalls … y’all ain’t gotta put down others to support y’all fav,” she wrote. “I had a bad shooting night for sure but we got the dub and what does that help our team as a whole and whoever is your fav! We all trying to help in anyway we can.”

A user questioned why she was getting involved in an argument with a fan on social media, arguing that she was “feeding into online narratives” and making it seem like she has “resentment for CC.” The fans also argued Harris’ tweet was “very unprofessional” and “toxic for team cohesion.” Harris responded in hopes of dispelling the false narratives and clarifying that there’s no divide in the Fever locker room.
“My point. Made up narratives and Im having conversations like everybody else do on Twitter. Our team is good in the locker room TRUST ME. Reread my tweet so you can fully comprehend nobody holding resentment we all trying to help in anyway shape or form,” she wrote.

After other fans told her to get off social media, Harris doubled down.
“Why y’all keep telling me to log off lmao it’s my off day! Athletes can’t have conversations without people thinking I’m fighting. My life is blessed and highly favored,” she added.

The seven-year veteran has appeared in 15 games for the Fever this season (including three starts), averaging 2.9 points, 1.8 assists, and 1.1 rebounds per game.
Clark, who is currently recovering from a back issue and has missed the last two games, is leading the way for the Fever with 21.2 points, 8.2 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game. Her popularity means that the Fever are under heightened scrutiny. From head coach Stephanie White to Clark’s teammates, fans have been quick to criticize when things go awry.
However, if Harris’ words are anything to go by, there’s no drama behind the scenes in the Fever’s locker room and everyone is committed to the cause of leading the team into the WNBA playoffs.
